Last book: I haven't had the spoons for books lately ngl 😅 (ah burnout! (2)) While I do have a pile of fiction and non-fiction I should be getting to, I have found reference books to be more digestible!!

It's very fascinating, though identifying trees doesn't come as easily to me as birds >w<;; It did make me realize how plenty of the trees I do recognize around the neighborhood aren't actually indigenous :( but I did get the chance to apply a bit of what I read when I later got to visit a botanical garden!!

Pros: I get to show off being Knowledgeable™

Cons: the tree in question was called the bayag-usa.... (Deer testicles :/) And it's a medically significant tree DX Imagine your local albularyo prescribing you decoction of DEER BALLS. I swear native Filipinos can be so disrespectful when giving local names smh the pied bush chat does NOT deserve *that*!!!!

Aaanyways, it's just really special and important to me to get to know the local flora and fauna :3c I have a couple of bird ID books already, and I also want to get one of the local herps, and insects, and reef fish, and flowers, and and and

Last Song: According to yt music it's Why Would You Be Loved bc I was on a Hozier kick on my last car ride lmao. The cynicism underscored by yearning is so 😚👌

Last Movie: I think it's Bad Guys 2 actually!! Incredibly fun movie that I enjoyed a lot :D Very entertaining and well set up, I think it's neat ^w^

Last Series: I think it's the PJO tv series :0 It's certainly.. interesting in the ways that it deviates from the books. I respect that Rick Riordan seems to be rectifying a lot of things that could've been written more sensitively wayback when (a vibe I also get from the recent pjo books ft. Percy's almost-college adventures) tho honestly I'm still on the fence over how much I'm actually enjoying said changes? It's strange, I think it's just not hitting the same high beats that nostalgia does so it lands kind of weird to me? I can't put my finger on it but perhaps it's best judged when the series is out as a whole, as there are major long game ramifications to said choices ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

That said, Lightning Thief the Musical remains my favorite pjo adaptation it's so banger 💙⚡

Salty/Sweet: I love salt in ways that has my family concerned for my kidneys (⁠ㆁ⁠ω⁠ㆁ⁠)

Working on:

1. I've made a lot of strides in writing lately and I must give a shoutout to @coralhoneyrose for all the insights, advice, and. honestly the sprints practically feel like tutoring so that too >w<;;; Sometimes I still feel like I'm running in circles but honestly just getting to move and analyzing *how* I want to move has felt very productive, I can't thank Rose enough 🫶

2. Similarly, I've been trying to be more thoughtful in improving my art? I still really don't like where I am right now, but I've been looking up tutorials and trying studies and things. Tbh some habits are really hard to break but. I'm trying!!!

3. Riding a bike in traffic 🚴🫡

Omg haiiiiiiii :D today felt strangely eventful actually lol. A friend just introduced the app "setlog" to the squad and we've been sending each other little updates since this morning, from coffee to socks to just chilling at home <3

Also I just got the tablet pen nibs I ordered and

...... Yeah I really needed that XD Can't believe I never replaced it in the 5 or so years I've been using this pen LMAO. I remember asking my artist friends last year I think like "heyyyy when should you replace these things" and they said when it gets worn down. But like I didn't have a point (heh) of reference so I've just been squinting at mine like 🧐🧐🧐 does this count?

But looking at them side by side now is pretty crazy >w<;; Can't wait to draw with this!!
