3 years ago, when Meghan Linsey sung the anthem at a Seahawks/Titans game in Nashville, the field was empty.
Players from both teams stayed in the locker room. This was after Trump made his "son of a bitch" comments about Kap and the other players who kneeled during the anthem.
She kneeled with her guitar player after she sung. She explained why she kneeled and why it was important as a blonde white woman that she show solidarity.
She has been using her platform for good ever since then.
Everything she said seemed sincere and genuine. I feel like she wasn't trying to be woke, that she did what she truly felt was right. It felt organic. I wish I got this feeling more often.
