MegOP Week 2025 dates and prompts have officially been announced!

Further rules and specifications will be posted closer to the event, but here's a quick run-down of how it works:

All content related to Megatron and Optimus Prime in a relationship is allowed, whether romantic, sexual, platonic, or familial.

Although the event/blog name is "megop," opmeg content is also allowed; there's no restrictions related to who's the top/bottom, dominant/submissive, etc.

This event is NSFW-friendly and dark content-friendly (so long as everything is tagged properly).

This event is OT3+/poly/multiship-friendly, as long as Megatron and Optimus are the primary characters/ship involved

All art forms are allowed, including but not limited to art, fic, podfic, AMVs, screencap edits/photomanipulation, crafts, and any other way you'd like to participate!

Only new submissions will be included in the event collection on AO3, Tumblr, etc. However, it's also okay to post something like a multichapter fic that isn't completed within the time limit of MegOP Week, so long as it's a brand-new piece that hasn't been previously uploaded before.

Also, if you're interested in getting hands-on with the event, this blog is still accepting applications for new mods both here on Tumblr and on other sites like Bluesky! See this link to apply.

I will not be told that Orion Pax (TFP especially) didn’t know how to fight at least in some capacity before he met Gladiator Megatron.

No way he could stand his ground in a Gladiatorial Deathmatch, but he for sure knew at least some self defence. He lives in a big city. He’s naive, not an idiot. And I’m sure he at least in part learned to fight because he thought a fictional/historical character was just SO cool and wanted to be like them.

Cut to Orion ‘Wouldn’t Harm a Scraplet’ Pax incapacitating a would-be mugger on the streets of Kaon right in front of Deathmatch Gladiator Megatronus.

“Where did you learn combat??” The gladiator asks flabbergasted.

“I took self-defence classes…” The Archivist replies as he checks to see if he broke the mugger’s wrist or just sprained it. Just sprained, thankfully.

“Oh…”

“And you wouldn’t believe how many people try to steal things from the Hall of Records. I don’t relish it, but sometimes it’s an unfortunate necessity.”

Wait wait wait Megatron reincarnation of megatronus au please tell me more?

Yesssss. Omg I haven't written for it yet, really, but its been haunting me since I came up with it.

Basically, after killing Solus Prime and being shunned by his peers, Megatronus Prime strikes up a deal with Alpha Trion to fix his mistakes. He's supposed to assist Alpha Trion in training Orion Pax as the vessel for Thirteen to come back.

So he becomes a miner, toils away down there for eons until he does what he has to do to become a pit fighter just waiting for this one twink to need his guidance. He knows what he's supposed to do. He understands the role he's supposed to play. He's got this. He'll make amends for his mistake.

But he wasn't counting on Orion Pax flirting with him. He wasn't counting on him reminding him of Solus. He wasn't counting on Orion Pax being so full of a lust for life. And it hurts because Megatronus knows that for Thirteen to be reborn, Orion Pax has to die. He wasn't counting on falling in love.

So he has to make a choice. Does he betray his family again or does he betray Orion Pax?
