NYC folk just a heads up I am NOT coming up for DCM/my birthday this year - DCM is actually a full week before my birthday this time around and I couldn’t take that much time off. I figured rather than choose between them I’d switch things up.

I am planning on coming up at some point between August and November for a TCGS taping, but I’m hoping to see one particular guest and since nothing is set in stone (like if they’ll even be on the show, much less when) it’ll probably be pretty short heads up when I do come.

It feels weird to make a post about a thing I’m not doing, but it’s been like 6 years of me doing the same thing so I figured it was worth saying “hey that’s not happening this year!”

Side note I miss you all.

The plot behind Jurassic Park combines everything that I love in an infinite spiral of euphoria. The folly of man? Check. Dinosaur rampages? Check. Jeff Goldblum? A check written in my own blood. As Ian Malcolm, Goldblum practically Goldblums his way out of the screen. He reaches peak Goldblum. And then you have the sequel, The Lost World, which does the character a disservice by answering the question "What if we wrote Jeff Goldblum as Bruce Willis?" He's not even in the third one, or World, and you can feel his absence. During Jurassic World, I was like a little kid lost in the mall, looking for Jeff Goldblum.

Keanu Reeves’ hitman John Wick is making some new friends and catching up with some familiar faces in the sequel to the sleeper hit action pic. Ruby Rose (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Riccardo Scamarcio (Burnt) and Peter Stormare (Fargo) join the already announced Common and returning Ian McShane in John Wick 2. Also coming back from the first movie are John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski, and Lance Reddick.

Meg, you’ve been following me for all of one day and you’re already bringing out the big guns. 

I have no idea what I’d even do on a date with a bunch of 21 year old multimillionaires. Go jet packing?! Play IRL wizards chess?! Have a private dinner catered by Gordon Ramsey where he also yells at you Dick’s Last Resort style?!?!?!

HOWEVER, I will tell you exactly what they would all wear on said dream date.

Harry would be wearing three flannel shirts. One has two buttons done up, the next has one button done and the third has none. 

Liam arrives with a bandana in every color of the rainbow hanging out of his pocket. It will be a real George Costanza’s wallet situation, but he won’t mind.

Niall will look like the broiest bro that ever bro’d, but it will work for me and I will feel weird about it the whole time. 

Zayn can wear whatever he wants. He can do whatever he wants. He doesn’t even have to come if he doesn’t feel like it. 

Louis can also wear whatever he wants, as long as he looks like he just got off a shift at the Kum ‘n Go.
