ok but flins as a hybrid with animal-like ears and a tail. imagine him being w/ you and the ppl don't have to know that he's happy you're there with the way his tail wags.
flins: [ ears are flattened or relaxed ] you, appearing: hey guys! :D flins: [ ears immediately perks up ] cue sandrone being all "wow. he's not even trying to hide it" with columbina quietly chuckling beside her. lauma hides her smile behind her fingers.
( tho i do like the idea of flins trying to conceal his animal traits too. i can see him doing that. )
also also imagine just. sitting beside him. or staying close to him while tending to your duties -- writing smth, reading smth, whatever -- and his tail just. wraps around maybe your leg. or your waist. you don't notice it because he's subtle like that. you two continue to do your responsibilities in silence not until you feel the tail slithered around you tighten. he probably wants your attention.
ORRRRRR WHAT ABOUT FLINS WITH BIGGER WINGS?? his wings pulling you close or hiding you using said wings "flins, i'm still finishing up with--" and it falls on deaf ears because he's pleased enough that he can have you all to himself just by covering you with his wings. apparently hugging you isn't enough
