julix scenario ✧ picky eaters

juno is an extremely picky eater, and maybelle inherited that as well. due to a sensitive appetite, juno often finds some foods appealing one day and then completely inedible the next. in addition to being a rather poor cook, this means that they often order in to their penthouse.

however, when felix comes into the picture, he makes them home cooked meals for the first time ever, and they can't get enough of his cooking. they can taste the love that he puts in everything he makes for them, whether he's following a meal plan or making them something quickly due to a change in appetite.

they're often embarrassed about their picky eating, but he insists that their health and comfort is more important than any extra time he'd have to spend cooking for them.

as for maybelle, she's very picky when it comes to baby food, formula, and snacks. this leads to juno and felix stocking an assortment of each food in case her taste changes. felix never bats an eye when maybie hits a bowl of food off of her tray or refuses to eat something, he's always patient and soft with her because she's a baby

I've answered a few questions/posted some stuff on his WIR lore before vvv

But the long and short of it is:

'The Doctor' was a gender neutral tutor character in a game called Study Bugs.

The goal of Study Bugs was to... Study bugs! The Doctor was programmed to help the player identify insects by species, color and number pattern using a golden microscope.

The game was made by a developer out of Scotland and did not see the same popularity in the US. Litwak got his hands on a cabinet and it very rarely saw use by older players.

The doctor was anomalous by nature, no name of their own and only existing to assist others.

Turbo at the height of his popularity made a point to extend a hand to them, it was good for his image to look out for those less fortunate. Turbo introduced the Doctor to the joys of mechanisms. It was a foreign concpet to them before and the mechanics of engines and cars would be something the Doctor latched onto for life.

Then Roadblasters happened, The Doctor saw it all and while it frightened the whole arcade what Turbo did, for The Doctor it inspired, ignited something in them to not be at the mercy of players attention, to not sit around and WAIT to be unplugged.

They 'went Turbo' and abandoned their duties to their game.

For all anyone knew The Doctor just vanished and Study Bugs was unplugged.

Hero's Duty was the next bug centered game. The Doctor snuck in on day 1 eager to do what they were programmed to do, study bugs.

Unfortunately their first interaction with a Cy-Bug resulted in their arm and eye being damaged.

Coming from a game for children, their code had no way to process pain or damage or what it would look like so the areas of effect were pixilated and glitched. To escape the glitch in and fix themself, they located Hero's Duty's code room.

There is where HE tampered with code and gave himself a proper identity.

Dr. Abel Tanner. Cy-Bug researcher.

Dispite the violent process the whole thing was how he truly found HIMSELF.

Then Ralph clumsily bumbles through and brings a Cy-Bug egg OUTSIDE the game.

Abel worries for the Cy-Bug and for the awfulness that is sure to follow, so he tracks them both down... to a sweet little game called Sugar Rush.

At this point Abel Tanner and King Candy are a far cry from The Doctor and Turbo from all those years before. They don't recognize eachother straight away but it slowly becomes clear who they were, who they are... who they're going to be for each other.

juno and felix have tons of pet names for each other, though juno is a bit more hesitant to use them in public.

juno's for felix include: sweetheart, baby, hun, big guy, pretty boy (his personal favorite) my love

felix's for juno include: angel, junebug, darlin' (their personal favorite) honey, bluebonnet, starlight, sweetheart, and many many others

when talking to others, juno will describe felix as their partner, their love, or their sweetheart.

when talking to others, felix will describe juno as his angel, his honey, his sweetheart, his love, or simply his juno.
