The "4 character design tips" video is heaven-sent, i swear I was struggling with my stellanova oc's design, but you're so right, I'm getting stuck on the first ideas, I need to explore more.

Also, uh, care to share your sources of inspiration for outfit designs for stellanova characters, any chance? Besides space and future im not sure what motifs would be recurrent in the franchise.

Here's something you probably haven't thought of yet but i don't know if you have: what if abel became a cybrid? And if so when is he planning on doing it or has it already happened and we just didn't notice?

I have thought about it. Very hard.

It's his DREAM, his absolute DREAM.

I think being fused with a Cy-Bug and not just consumed by it would be Abel's idea of the ULTIMATE transformation, the ultimate BECOMING.

There's a reason he has something close to a religious awakening when he sees King Candybug.

I know it's a fun idea but in cannon:

people don't survive this.

I have a bit of a strong stance on this because seeing that KING CANDY, that TURBO is the only one this has happened to, the ONLY one STRONG enough, committed enough, desperate enough, is very very impressive and important to me.

Turbo is the EXCEPTION not the rule for fusion.

I don't think Abel would manage to save his consciousness amongst being consumed, or maybe the fear of that risk, that he could be eaten and never wake up again would be too great.

He'd rather stay alive to study them.

He was GENUINELY so terrified and heartbroken when he saw Candy eaten by the purple cybug he nearly gave it all up.

But seeing King Candybug in all his glory, maintaining his will and aspirations, his thoughts and passion.

It has such value to me that I think having the same happen to Abel as well kind of diminishes it? Or maybe just undermines the impact.

The only way I will do it is an AU where Abel can get to him in time and push him out of the way, being eaten by the Cy-Bug in Candy's place... because I think that's romantic❤️

CORRECT!

There are a few reasons the name was chosen, by me, it was picked for the reference to Cain and Abel.

For Abel it was a name he stole from someone else and adopted better for himself. [the irony is he was originally 'cain' if that makes sense]

I think subconsciously Abel sounding like Able is so meaningful in a lot of ways.

Before he knew who he was he felt trapped, stunted, held back and suffocated.

Finding himself meant losing parts of himself physically but he finally felt ABLE to do what he pleased.

He takes pride in his name, his identity, it's something that is HIS [even if he did steal it]

Tanner as a last name feels more grounded and old in a way to me.

A tanner being someone who hunts, skins and prepares leather from animals for lots of crafts, it's messy work but very handy and reliable.

It reminds me that he's a very practical and capable individual even if he is chaotic and interesting in science.
