WIP title: eagles were born to soar (technically not a WIP??? but it’s not fully uploaded yet lol) Fandom: Kuroko no Basuke Premise: Hyuuga did not come back to join basketball. Izuki stepped up to be the captain. Characters: Izuki Shun, Kuroko Tetsuya, Kagami Taiga
Excerpt: “Don’t, they deserve it,” Kagami interjects, running his fingers over the thin scar that still resides on his cheek and scowling at the floor.
“Akashi-kun cut you, didn’t he, Kagami-kun?” Kuroko asks suddenly. There’s a pit in his eyes that even Izuki is scared of - and Izuki doesn’t scare easily.
“...Yeah?”
“Right.” Kuroko cracks his wrists none too gently, and the entire team shudders. “I’ll have some words with him about that. After we win.” He looks up at Izuki, a light of expectation in his eyes. “Please hold up the fort until I can come back, senpai.”
2. whisper (OG)
WIP title: North Star Premise: Skygate City is the last haven of civilisation left, ruled by the two benevolent Arches. Mei-Lin leads a peaceful life as a college student in the City, but when a (beautiful) stranger comes quite literally crashing into her life, questions arise, almost too many to answer. Mei-Lin must now choose between everything she’s ever known and fighting for what’s right before it’s too late...
Excerpt: The flannel overshirt, though already black, was starting to darken even further—the stranger was bleeding heavily. Mei-Lin was sure that the area she’d stabbed, just above the girdle of the left hip, was non-fatal: but if left long enough, they would die. She had the fleeting thought of allowing them to do so; then the consequences (charges of manslaughter by negligence, Arren’s disappointment, where she’d hide the body) hit her.
I don’t have a choice. I’ll have to patch them up.
“Stay there,” she whispered, barely managing to pull herself into a standing position. “I’ll get you the bandages.”
Mey-rin: Oh my god.
Sebastian: What? Another rat?
Mey-rin: Worse. There's an echo in here. I just heard my own voice.
