9 years of Minecraft Diaries brainrot l8r...🥴

March 13, 2025: This was the first Aphmau fanart I drew this year (and also in quite a few years) and it was just for funsies, since I thought it'd be cutesie to redraw the old piece. I failed to have the foresight to understand that this was an early symptom of my Minecraft-Diaries-Relapse...this was just the beginning...

May 21, 2016: Okay this was actually the beginning :P I remember being very berry 🍓 proud of this one all those years ago. I was sitting at the dining room table watching like, Echo Gilette How to Draw in the Adventure Time Art Style videos on my HTC Inspire 4g lil android phone. I had my ballpoint pen equipped and readied my cheap sketchbook paper, the kind that promptly tore when I was erasing a little too furiously (nothing a lil tape couldn't fix!) I'm still very fond of this doodle; I get why I excitedly brought it to school the next day to show my friends.

So yeah! Here's some old art, and there's some EVEN older art. If 2016 me knew she finally got to post her fanart on Tumblr, I think she'd be very happy. And that's what it's all about 😎😎😎 <3

Let Meifwa be Weird!

Meifwa in Minecraft Diaries and MyStreet are supposed to be cat-people hybrids, but they actually aren't all that cat like. In MyStreet they are even described as being more similar to Humans than Werewolves are. I feel like there was a missed opportunity to make them feel more like a unique creature, because cats are actually VERY weird!

(WARNING! This rant is VERY LONG!)

Cats are insanely flexible and much more athletic than we give them credit for. This is due to their muscle structure being very different from our own, however they end up needing a crap ton of protein because of it. Cats actually need even more meat based protein in their diet than dogs! Another reason why cats are so flexible is because their collar bone/clavicle isn't solidly attached, allowing for a wider range of movement. Some humans will also be born with a similar condition.

Cats are also pretty solitary most of the time, and can be quite territorial. However they are social enough to care for their young, have high empathy, and be domesticated. There are even groups of feral cats who will hunt together called clouders.

There are also many things about cats that are either still unknown, or have recently been revealed to be much more complicated.

Cats will kneed on their mother while nursing, and as they grow up they may kneed on people and furniture to show affection. However sometimes a cat will kneed to self regulate when they feel uncomfortable. A similar thing has been observed for purring as well. Cats are mostly known for purring while happy, but sometimes a cat will stress-purr in order to calm themselves or someone else.

Imagine if they applied some of this to the meifwa in Minecraft Diaries!

What if Nana carried around an old pillow, or something that she could kneed on when she's nervous?

What if Laurance was purring after the Werewolf Wedding incident, to keep himself calm and comfort Aphmau?

What if some of the characters found Nana and other Meifwa off-putting because they could fit through insanely tight spaces?

What if part of the reason Kaitlyn felt weak after being turned into a meifwa was because she was malnourished, and needed more protein in her diet?

Let meifwa be weird! It would be cool (in my opinion)

does anyone think they have furries in the aphmau-verse? Like meifwa and werwolves in dog and cat mascot suits??? or like are they just furries and just do con stuff?? or is it not a thing??? because like I love the more feline takes on kc and other meifwa but also im a furry so that logic zane is also a furry but do furries exist in this universe because theres animal people????

Meifwa time!

Meifwa, much like werewolves, are a subspecies of homo sapien that came to exist through magical genetic tampering. Though, unlike werewolves, Meifwa are not cursed, and their state is non-contagious, non-transformative, and permanent. Meifwa are also more herbivorous than their feline counterparts, with many being able to survive and thrive off of plant-based diets, despite their digestive systems being more geared towards meat. They have digitigrade legs and slightly elongated snouts, similar to small felines.
