happy to report that lando had a bigger smile when the crowd was chanting oscar’s name
Lando saying “my teammate” all shy and unable to maintain eye contact with anyone, then opening up a BIG ASS SMILE, most probably after seeing Oscar’s reaction to his stunt (he was giggling like a boy with a crush)
BOY YOU NEED TO STAND UP
"it's the same for me. i mean if you enjoy that, okay, but that's what i do at home when i play mario kart" max verstappen '26 aus gp post-race (viaplay)
when oscar was adopted by charles did he inherit the home race curse too because wtf is happening
George wearing a quarter zip??👀
we need to do a compilation of curses lando’s broken
a summary for those of us who didn't feel like getting up for fp1 (dw me neither babes I just got insomnia):
Arvid's RB decided it didn't feel like functioning as a car anymore. VSC. Had to be wheeled back down the pitlane. He's fine, they fixed it, he set a bunch of laps. Fun start to the season
Yellow flag for Oscar due to some power issues. After a brief stint in the garage, Mclaren got him back running normally on track.
Franco went for a little trip into the glue trap. Escaped easily, he's good
Lando's Mclaren decided it didn't feel like functioning anymore, but at least it did so in the garage. Gearbox issue.
Checo's mirror plate detached itself from its holdings mid flying lap. Oops
Lewis went for a little adventure over the kurbs, ouch. Definite sparks flying
Isack went for an adventure through the gravel and grass, but escaped easily. Lil bit of bouncing and a short stint as a lawn mower, and he's back on track swiftly
Alex's Williams decided it didn't feel like functioning as a car anymore, unfortunately it did so in the middle of the track. Hydraulics issue, lost power to everything. VSC came out while he escaped. VSC ended with 10 minutes to go
Checo spun his Cadillac like a ballet dancer and did some serious flat spotting on his tyres. Oops
Ferrari top the timing sheets to end, with the Red Bulls coming in right behind them. Interesting.
Astons did minimal running, because apparently their car vibrates so hard it can cause nerve damage. Seems counter productive to racing, but who am I to tell the esteemed Adrian Newey how to build a car
thats all folks! see you in a few hours for fp2!
