melb cup day related chase/camchase thoughts since i can sit in bed and write this 🥳 public holiday yay

for context it’s literally just a fucking horse race. there’s a big day of races at flemington racecourse, big event but the main event is the cup which is i think one of the last races?? idk but it’s a pretty big thing in melb

- chase probably still watches it every year and stays up ridiculously late to do so because of time difference. if Cameron ever says something like ‘it’s just a horse race why do you need a whole day off for it’ he gets pissy and starts talking about how stupid Americans are for having thanksgiving.

- used to watch it every year with his family before his parents divorce. maybe he went to the racecourse a few times but probably hated it when he was younger what with the whole standing out on a racecourse in nice clothes watching all the adults drink all day.

- truthfully could not care less about the races and honestly i don’t think anyone does. only watches it to remind himself of his younger years when his family was all together, but he’ll never admit it to anyone else including Cameron.

- probably started some fuckass betting ring in school just for the hell of it. he likes betting we all know this. kept all the money from people who lost and spent it on god knows what
