sorry, prev, your tags are too true to be silenced
helpful tattoo reminder: they are technically Injuries so u have to eat a lot of calories drink a lot of water and sleep a lot after so your body can Heal The Injury
another helpful tattoo reminder: the 24-48 hours after you get a tattoo your brain can not be trusted in regards to whether or not you should have gotten that tattoo, if you have somehow ruined your life, if it turned out ugly, etc. ignore that
finally, while i am at it: always bring a candy bar and a sugary drink to your appointment for blood-sugar reasons (worst case scenario) or so you can have a treat (unilaterally applicable)
this has been your friendly neighborhood haver of 19* tattoos (assorted sizes and placements)
*not totally sure here. bad at counting
Can I just emphasize that not everyone reading this has yet encountered the information that injuries require food, hydration, and sleep? I think the way many people associate rest and injury is that you rest the injury itself to avoid making it worse, but overlook that the healing process itself requires rest regardless of if not-rest directly injures it further.
Also exercise is a form of controlled injury so that as your body heals it heals stronger. You also need food-hydration-rest for strength and cardiovascular improvements after exercise.

some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh thatās not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal

Time for my biannual freakout about Two Crabs
one of my favorite this american life segments of late is about the people who played orchestra pit for phantom of the opera on broadway and how, like, a sizeable majority of them had literally been playing the show since it opened in 1988 (on broadway. I know it opened in 86 on the west end, you random pedants, but I am specifically talking about broadway musicians) because their contracts stipulated that they'd have jobs throughout the show's entire run... but nobody anticipated that phantom would become the longest-running broadway show of all time.
and none of these people wanted to walk away from a guaranteed job, so very few of them ever quit. they just kept doing the same show eight nights a week... for twenty or thirty years... and by the time it finally closed last year most of these musicians (who had been working together for DECADES) hated each other and really really fucking loathed phantom. I can't stop thinking about it. it's indescribably hellish to imagine but also the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life.
can you imagine.
[ID: excerpt from an article reading: One of my favorite stories, which should drive anyone who has every played in a band crazy-- thereās this bassoon player who has sat next to the same clarinet player since 1988. Sheās convinced he plays half a note4 flat on every note heās every played. He denies this. /]
Do you recognize this TV theme song? #784

Okay we've seen the upper limits of what an astronomical budget for filmmaking can do. Let's cap the budget at $500,000 for a few years and see what film teams forced to get creative and utilize unknown actors produce.
This post is a thought experiment about the potential for small budget independent movie productions and nothing else. Itās NOT about wealthy corporations using AI to cut corners and itās certainly not about TV shows with multi million dollar budgets thanks to Canadian government grants.
If you can only dismiss the spirit of the post bc you canāt conceive of a well made production on a limited budget thatās a skill issue. Thereās tons of small Arthurian projects I love that fit this exact premise. Have you heard of Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Yeah. Exactly. More of that please.
@jubjubbird THANK YOU! YOU GET IT!
"Why must we Madonna/whore the vegetables?" is a phrase I just felt super glue itself in my lexicon immediately
i know this is tumblr and weāre all playing perverts but i just think some of you would be excellent company for a late night walk and a four hour conversation about absolutely nothing
turns out my life purpose isnāt supposed to be as small and silent and accommodating and convenient as possible

wish online communities discussing autism in women weren't like, doing their best to contribute to the false perception there's a distinct Autism For Boys and Autism For Girls, when the whole time it's just social enforcement of gender roles influencing behavior
