I'm sort of nervous about the whole casting process because once something's been white-washed, it's hard to un-white-wash it. Like, once a character's skin colour has been ignored and the actor or actress is played by a white man or woman, the fandom just accepts that blindly and any graphic/gif that doesn't use the actors and actresses that have been cast is pretty much ignored. So like, at the moment we can fancast a WoC as Johanna; if a white actress is cast, that just goes out the window.

Oh god, yeah. The Hunger Games movie is pretty much whitewashed beyond repair, and even though they can sort of make up for that by casting people of color for a lot of the remaining roles, I highly doubt they will. As much as I love Jennifer and Liam and whatnot, I'm still angered by the way they were cast. The casting called for Caucasians only, but the fandom either doesn't know or doesn't care, which is why racism exists mostly: because people are ignorant about it, or they don't care/go with it because it's funny to them.
