(TW: BLOOD)
So last Friday I had a nosebleed because of dippin dots
What happened was, we were at a basketball game for pep band. I didn't bring any money for food but one of the seniors I'm friends with and his sister who I'm also kind of friends with bought some dippin dots. I asked his sister for dippin dots first and she was like "no ask brother" but like less mean, so a few minutes pass and one of the other seniors and I ask my friend for some dippin dots. He managed to find a chunk of dippin dots which he gave to the other senior and I was like "bro just fuckin pour them into my hand", so he did. In my excitement to eat dippin dots, I moved my head to quickly, and my nose just decided "oh fuck, blood time !!! ?!!!"
I realize this and sniff so I can finish my dippin dots and then the blood doesn't stop, I ask the other senior (I'll call her A) if my nose is really bleeding and she's like "oh no this is not ideal" and we go find a bathroom.
I explain how it happened and tell her not to worry since I'm fairly used to getting nosebleeds at inconvenient times, but this was by far the worst one I've had as of being mature enough to not freak out during them.
Oh also she took this picture of me
She sent it to the senior who gave me the dippin dots (let's call him C)
This felt like maybe 5 minutes of bleeding but I'm fairly sure it was closer to 20. This took so much time that one of the campus police officers found me and asked if I was okay. I explained I was fine and she said if it happened again that she'd help me find a nurse. It didn't happen again and eventually I returned but hOLY FUCK I AM SCARED TO TALK TO C AGAIN BECAUSE WE'VE GOT M O R E PEP BAND TOMORROW BUT HEY IF I HAVE ANOTHER NOSEBLEED OH WELL LET'S GO !!
one wind ensemble horn player is going around having peeps sign a petition so we can get mellophones for next year and im kinda hyped. ive always wanted to play mellophone. i mean ive always been a woodwind player and prolly always will be and honestly i dont think my bd would even let me play one but 🤷
Ok so, everyone of my non-band friends get confused when people from band, friends or not, call me 'legend' as a nickname. I got it when I was in beginning band and was asked what type of music experience I had. I said I played the piano, violin, flute, learning guitar, and was in chorus. The baritone vet was impressed therefore giving me the name 'legend' and it sort've stuck with everyone else in the band.
Monday night rehearsals boys
Here’s to the start of band competition season
May your instrument be in tune, may your section be in step, may you perform well and confidently, and most of all, let the bus rides be fun! :)
Basically, just don’t sweat it and you’ll have a great season!
Marching band
Monday was the start of my band camp and even though today is only day four this is shaping up to be the best season ever. The band is so positive and they’re all working so hard and my section is becoming more comfortable with each other and I am finally feeling like a section leader and I am so excited for this season!!!!!!!
