A Good time for Rock and Roll in Canada:

Why???

#1) New album coming from our good friends and labelmates the Micronite Filters! Only 34 hours left to get the pre-order specials, hop on over to http://www.indiegogo.com/chasingghosts before midnight on Saturday.

#2) Our good friends "Bloody Diamonds" from Halifax are on tour and they have a bunch of dates in Ontario (including a few with us!) and then are working their way back East and all the way to Newfoundland before heading home. Check'em out at http://www.bloodydiamonds.com

#3) Our friends and labelmates "Mellowkotzen" have a new record coming out, they are releasing it this Saturday night in Oshawa and then it'll be available at http://www.getbentrecords.com

#4) The DGB has started writing a new record, it's gonna be a ways coming, but we're really excited about what we're coming up with, stay tuned!!!

Oh, and we aren't just sitting around writing music, we've got a bunch of shows coming up too! Next week we are in Belleville, Peterborough, Oshawa, and Bowmanville, check out all the details at http://www.theDGB.tk

Lastly, and this is important, our website has a show listed in Toronto at the Horseshoe on October 10th, this has been POSTPONED! The new date is Wednesday, November 14th. Open Mic Tonight

If you're looking for something to do tonight, our friend Jessie (Mellowkotzen, New Threads) will be running an all-ages open mic at Cocoa & Joe (44 Simcoe St. N.) in downtown Oshawa. It starts at 8.

Mellowkotzen Join Soundtracked 20

Following news of Cat Planet's unfortunate cancellation from tomorrow evening's show, we are excited to announce that Mellowkotzen has signed on in place of them. Long-time Broken Arts fans may have seen Mellowkotzen play Soundtracked 2: Christmas way back in December 2009 or one of our many buskerfests in 2010. More recently Mellowkotzen members Jessie and Bruce could have been seen as members of New Threads, who played Broken Arts Fest and Soundtracked 17: Fairly Odd Folks. They are currently in the process of recording their debut album, which will be out this winter from Get Bent Records but they're taking a short break to come play Soundtracked 20, which goes down tomorrow evening at Mad Cafe.
