There once was a neighbourly surrounding with homely properties and they decided to develop routines. These routines would allow people to behave as hostages do. Slowly, through many years of hushed cultivation, they began to ensnare and abduct and pressure people living near to them. The processes they began to develop involved the crushing and restricting of natural internal movement. Much to the surprise of public concern, not the scientific community involved, the lives of the victims who began to suffer were actually mellow about it. This was because the self proclaimed authority of the realm being dwelt in was using pharmaceutical products to nurture this stunning little inconvenience. It was a combination of severe pressures and man-made chemicals that began to force the people to suffer internal stagnation and it really was a wonder that those suffering amidst its tumult were never seen displaying disgust or dismay. It was a shock to public concern and an amazingly weird phenomena to contemplate, but it was, none-the-less, true. Although these daily repeating applications were irreversibly reshaping the insides of the residents bodies and heads no disapproval could ever be heard. A few believed this to have been because of a quelling agent that quietly stemmed natural reactions to a systemic methodology but most went with the more popular opinion of 'it's simply normal'. Without realising they had all began to agree that time in her managing wisdom had had everybody of the surrounding believe their involvements to be normal everyday involvements. So people living beneath this regime simply played the game and behaved themselves; no arguing, no disagreement, no ruffling of feathers and no conflict. They had become very much like the skilled craftsmen of old had become, wise, sullen, and completely out on a limb. A once illegal process, because of its barbarity and disabling cruel intention, had become commonplace and accepted and that was simply that. This collective decision and process of living was very community minded in this respect. All had gathered together to knowingly help to maintain a refusal and that refusal was the stopping of what natural motivation had once been. They, as a newly forming society of people, were now alive and living at the dawn of what learned people would soon begin to call 'the anchoring of an odyssey', and everyone seemed pleased about it.
