What do you think of the 2 flashback kids adora and catra scenes in season 5 corridors? Also what do you think happened to adora's scar? I wonder how did it heal perfectly fine throughout the years and didn't stick, did shadow weaver heal it? Did it not stick due to adora being young at the time? I'm curious tbh

i mean… it was a reflexive cat scratch in response to someone being right in her personal space, which would otherwise be a normal reaction realistically if she wasn’t more humanoid in nature with more progressive development of consciousness (though it still is anyway because she’s a child, and kids tend to act impulsively before thinking rationally). i’ve had my lip scratched like that before because one of my cats is extremely paranoid and defensive all the time so she lashed out, and it healed just fine. these things don’t typically scar — i’d imagine the only one that did in adora’s case is when catra, while chipped, practically dug her claws deep into her back to the point of it practically being a knife stab, which she had not done prior of her own will worse than then surface level of breaking skin superficially.

so, i honestly don't think this moment was the worst pain of adora's life (especially considering... everything else she's ever gone through in many events of the show) ─ not to say that it didn't suck, just that it was about as big of an issue speaking in long-term as a scraped knee on the sidewalk:

i suppose it’s possible that, being a sorceress, shadow weaver could have healed it almost immediately, but if not then it would have taken care of itself over a minor period of time. it certainly wouldn’t take years if that’s what you’re implying, more like a few weeks at the most if even that long.

i don’t even say this to defend catra necessarily (though i’m doing that too), it’s just… been my experience and that’s the knowledge i possess.

What do you think of an au whare chloe has the black cat miraculous instead of Adrien and is now ladybug's partner?

It's a pretty cool AU and packs more drama for me.

It's been done a couple of times, my favorite being 'Chloe Noir' on ao3. A must check!

But what makes it more dramatic for me is it's Chloe and Marinette and their rivalry. Forced proximity with your rival, falling for a part of themselves then slowly falling for all their sides, brutal honesty about their feelings behind the mask except when it comes to their identities, Chloe's destructive behavior like the Cat Miraculous's nature and powers, Marinette's knack for creating solutions and anything she puts her mind on to it like Ladybug's.

But also, Chloe's destructive nature because of her family and environment. Destruction isn't foreign to her. It's practically in her blood already and maybe that's why Plagg chose her. She destroys, both herself and other people. Then suddenly she gets a chance to destroy something for good. For the sake of other people. And it's weird at first? Thrilling, nerve-wracking, was she finally slipping into an unredeemable path? But Plagg tells her destruction is natural, it's real and it happens every day be it good or bad. Destruction is inevitable but it's up to her on how she wants to use it.

And so, she slowly goes on a path of redemption. She doesn't change completely, she's not capable of that she thinks. But she learns and learns and learn and learns. And even when she's supposed to destroy things, she's destroying them with a clear purpose.

She destroys things to create a new outcome. To change the course of action.

In a au scenario during the beacon days do you have any headcanons for a platonic ruby and ren dynamic?

I have a few for now!

Ren and Ruby actually like to read epic poetry/folklore together, and would frequently hang out at the library talking about their favorite folk heroes (introverts unites).

Ren would embroider designs for Ruby on things she wanted some pop of colors on: her initials on handkerchiefs, some flowers on her sleeves on some shirts, carps on her bags, or just simple scales/strawberries on her leggings. Most of the designs are from Ruby herself, but she can't sew during the Beacon Era.

Ren would ask Ruby to join him in Aura training and spar with him with simulated Grimms, so Ruby would help him with weapon usage while he helped her with some basic martial arts (mostly kicks and evasion to compensate for her hand-to-hand).

Ruby and Ren also like to bake together, her with Summer's cookie recipes while Ren with Mistrali desserts. For Tai's birthday, Ruby asked Ren to make her dad his favorite dessert.

Ren tries to teach Ruby dancing but gives up and they just listen to music with him dancing and her cheering on.

Ruby accidentally called Ren the Mistrali equivalent of "gege", or "big brother". Ren likes it and sometimes calls her "little Ru" (affectionate). Yang got a little jelly but got over it when they formed a little brotherhood after an assignment together.

Ruby gave Ren some of her stationary items. So far, Ren has two rolls of washi tapes (both having dogs on them), different colored gel pens and highlighters, a team STRQ pencil bag, and an eraser with Glynda's emblem she got from the merch store.

Ruby practices braiding hair on Ren, and sometimes braid green ribbons in them.

What do you think of the "she-ra is supposed to be the strongest warrior but always loses againts catra in they're fights" argument?

okay, i had to sit on this for a while since i'd never seen that claim before, especially in the context of being against catradora (which i won't really touch this time), but i do have some thoughts on it. just be warned that i may be going too far into my perception and might come across as outlandish because it's not directly supported by canon.

firstly, it should be noted that she-ra wasn't designed originally to be a soldier but to be a weapon, at least primarily. sure the fighting abilities were a bonus too, but i'd imagine she's supposed useful to defend the first ones from (what are perceived as) foreign threats on other planets, such as the boar mara attempted to fight until razz taught her how etherian magic works.

i say "attempted" because she was clearly losing if you go back and rewatch that scene... but i think there's more to that as well. similarly to how magic is explicitly horde prime's weakness, it seems to be implied that goes for the first ones too, regarding the resemblance in being an oppressive force that colonizes peaceful civilizations. she-ra's magic is not authentic until adora reclaims it for love, and therefore it is too weak against etheria's natural beings, as opposed to the countless mechs & tanks of the horde that end up effortlessly destroyed.

where am i going with this? well, there's a popular speculation among the fandom that magicats (catra's species), as specified in the name, have their own form of magical essence (highly suggest reading that btw, it's a great thread) that's more subtle than a princess who has a runestone that comes with powers and which ties deeply & much more directly with the spirit of etheria itself. that's part of why she was able to uniquely connect with melog, for example. therefore, when clashing with an artificial & otherworldly opponent on her own native territory, it makes sense that catra would come out on top.

secondly, if you're looking for a shorter/simpler answer, catra says it herself in 2x01:

she-ra is too strong to defeat with force alone; but she's slow, and easily manipulated.

i suppose it would go with the heightened senses feature that she would also adopt another feline characteristic of agility ─ something your average other person, humanoid or otherwise, wouldn't have.

now, what would happen if catra faced off adora's new she-ra form with their old dynamic? well that's up to fanon interpretation, but considering her movements are more animated and she fights more gracefully than she used to, i believe catra would be easier to keep up with, especially considering the cocky confidence upgrade included. if nothing else, i doubt both of them would be on equal ground up in space despite that not being an obstacle for she-ra at all!

i had to spend a while thinking about this (which is why i responded so late), but considering they’re such a sentimental & deeply intimate pairing, it would have to be each other’s minds & souls & spirits.

i once long ago had a relationship with someone because we had such a strongly-founded mutual understanding, and part of what kept us together even through our fallouts was how long our previous history had lasted. it did eventually get too toxic for us to stay in touch, but we stopped being on the same page and our paths went in different directions. thankfully for catradora, it’s the opposite, and i also believe knowing each other since they were young kids helps more than since being early teenagers would.

of course, catra is enamored by adora’s muscles & she-ra’s new glowing form, and adora can’t stop staring at catra’s boob window, but i wanted to answer with something more in-depth!
