Hey I'm not feelin so swell. Can I get some ponytail dib angst?

Some nights, when he doesn’t go out but stays to drink at home, Dib listens to music way too loud on his apartment at wayyy too fuckoff hour and the neighbours come looking to kick his ass. He has to end up vacating the apartment complex in fear of them calling the police on him again and goes to his car, but he’s way too wasted to drive or even walk to Zim’s house so he just huddles himself in the back seat and cries himself to sleep.

Regular Dib Coworker’s Thoughts:

New guy comes in to work, cool

Aaaand he looks like an emo hobo that got run over by a combine harvester

Seems to learn decently fast. Still has a face that could make a child cry. No idea why he’s allowed to man the register but whatever.

Random green gremlin kid starts showing up and he gets pissed, this is funny. Maybe it’s his little brother?

?????? is that fucking green twelve year old kid trying to flirt with the new guy?????

He doesn’t seem to take a single hint but that’s disturbing nonetheless

Someone saw him chasing the child after hours, this is getting creepy

I asked him yesterday if he had anything for lunch, never really see him eat during lunch hours. He flipped me the bird.

He showed up hangover again, and I’m p sure he stole like twelve bucks. I don’t really wanna tell management, kinda sorry for the guy. Think he might be going through a rough patch in life

Oh no, the green twelve year old is back.

Why is the twelve year old trying to buy condoms and wiggling his eyebrows at him

Oh, he got fired? Because he insulted a customer over the intercom? Well I kinda saw it coming honestly.

Rinse and repeat every two or three weeks with a new job.

Sometimes, when Dib’s left living off his car for a few days while apartment hopping, he finds himself parking nearby Zim’s house at night. Not too close, but close enough that he can clearly see the house and it’s lights from his car window. He tells himself it’s to keep an eye out for any evilness Zim might be plotting while he’s without a good place to hook up all of his equipment and camera feeds, but he often lets his thoughts wander in less…allowed directions.

Thinking of what Zim could be doing when he’s not plotting Earth’s demise, does he have any hobbies besides building death machines and pestering him around? Does he still watch those shows with Gir, does he…does he still like sweets? Would he like a candy bar? He’s only got one, kind of melted inside his glove box, was gonna be his dinner but…Maybe if he sneaks by the house and chucks it at the window Zim could come out and see it and…eat it? Maybe smile while he does? Would he?

Meanwhile Zim spies him in his car from his own cameras and has to lock himself inside to resist the temptation of dragging the human into his house and giving him several kinds of things

But neither do what they think of. And Dib just eats his candy bar and goes to sleep.
