during the 2024 New York Comic-Con fans saw WANTED posters for the Melon Soda Tamagotchi Connection throughout Hudson Yards. little did they know that Bandai Namco US would make their big announcement that evening.

Bandai Namco US is Bringing Melon Soda Tamagotchi Connection to the United States
The moment we’ve been advocating for is here. Bandai Japan initially announced the Melon Soda shell as a part of the first wave designs back in May, 2024. We then attended the grand opening of the Bandai Namco store in the American Dream mall and interviewed Asaki Murakami, Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America, Tamagotchi Product Development.
Following the interview we had a conversation around the Japanese shells. We expressed not only our interest, but the communities interest in this shell. Asaki took this information as a study, which we did not fully expect to come to fruition this soon! Look at our impact!
The announcement came from the newest member of the Tamagotchi US team, Anita Komatsu who was unable to attend the panel because she was in Japan! So Anita recorded a video at Bandai HQ explaining that she is joined by a friend, the Mametchi statue and her Tamagotchi Connection Melon Soda. She then goes on to mention that she’ll be bringing the Melon Soda shell to the United States. These should arrive January, 2025!
It is important to note that this is the first time the Melon Soda shell will ever be released in the United States, which is a HUGE deal.
Although Anita is newer to the team, she is already proving herself to be an icon, and we love that.
