💭 - what is your oc’s MBTI, enneagram, and/or other personality aspects (if known/interested in)?

She's an activist (ENFP-A), creative, extroverted, flexible but also a bit naive and quick to change her views if it might please someone she wants to impress.

💯 - share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

- She used to work as a Bard in Baldur’s Gate. Since she’s a half-drow, that was quite a long way to go though. She had to change herself and her views, or at least pretend to do so, quite often

- She carries a small dagger in her boot for emergencies but doesn’t really know how to handle it until Astarion teaches her

- As extroverted and sassy as she seems, she does question herself and her decisions a lot

🐷 - what is your oc’s favorite animal?

That’s a tough question since she loves a lot of animals, but probably squirrels, raccoons, horses and frogs.

🤍 - what are three of your oc’s neutral/questionable traits?

- She’s quite sarcastic which can be funny but also a bit dismissive sometimes

- She cares a lot about her appearance and is very hygienic, but that leads to her needing more time in the morning than others

- She’s carefree to a point of being naive

☕️ - does your oc prefer coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, water, or some other drink? how do they like to take this drink (ex. coffee with milk, hot chocolate with whipped cream, a specific kind of tea, etc)?

Melwen loves black tea with sugar and milk, fruity cold tea on hot summer days (maybe with a hint of booze in the evening), and rich red wine as well as beer

🤔 - what are some of your oc’s quirks/mannerisms?

- She’s very ticklish

- Plays with her jewellery when she’s thinking

- Often brushes her hair behind her ears

I'm going with #1: Tell us about your Tav! Name, class and subclass, race, pronouns. Do you have a headcanon for where they're from? Their family? Are they a Dark Urge? Or did you choose an Origin Character? Was it an easy decision?

Name: Melwen Yauntyr

Class: Bard

Subclass: College of Lore

Race: Half-Drow

Pronouns: She/Her

Melwen grew up near Baldur's Gate with her mum (a Drow), her dad (a human) and her older half-sister Lilith (her dad, another Drow, turned to the Absolute and left the family). Melwen lived directly in the city for a few years while being a bard apprentice and then left to travel around for a while.

She's not a Dark Urge, which was an easy decision cause I thought the game would be challenging enough without my character trying to interfere 😅 Actually I had a hard time creating Melwen, couldn't decide on a race forever before choosing a Half-Elf. I knew right from the beginning that I was going to play a Bard though.

🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone’s heart and/or broken someone’s trust?

She had been in fights even before the events of the game while traveling with a group of Bards. Melwen struggled a lot after the first time her arrow was the one that killed a bandit, but eventually she came to terms with it - it was a "kill or get killed" situation

While traveling with the group she also had a partner. Things didn't work out though but it was him who broke her heart, not the other way around.

🌴 PALM TREE — does your oc have a green thumb? do they enjoy gardening?

She does have a green thumb and likes gardening or, at least, keeping plants. In her home in Baldur's Gate she had a lot of different potted plants, preferably those that don't need a lot of care though. When she's traveling she doesn't keep any plants, she collects and pressed flowers in her books though.

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

Melwen was born in the outskirts of Baldur's Gate. Her mum is a Drow, her father a human, so they weren't exactly popular. They had a small house away from the city where Melwen grew up with her parents and her half-sister Lilith.

When she got older, Melwen moved out to Baldur's Gate to study and become a Bard. She loves the city and enjoyed living there, but she also spends a good amount of time traveling.

💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc’s negative traits?

- She can be dismissive or cold towards others

- Sometimes she acts far more careless than she should, especially when it means pleasing someone else

- Which leads to negative trait three: She has flexible morals and sometimes prefers being on someone's good side than standing up for what she thinks is right or wrong
