We've got three birthdays to celebrate today, so let's get started~! First, we'll talk about one of the main fairy partners within the 2022 era of Pretty Cure! Then, we'll talk about the main protagonist of the 2021 era of Cardfight!! Vanguard, setting into motion a new reboot that would change the game! Finally, we'll talk about one of the most beloved idols within the Honkai Impact 3rd series and learn about the mysterious pink elf! Everyone say happy birthday to Mem-Mem from Delicious Party Pretty Cure, Yu-yu Kondo from Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, and Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd!
Let's start with Mem-Mem!
Membernu Churuchurutto Kurukururin Glutamine (also known as Mem-Mem) is one of the main fairy mascots within Delicious Party Pretty Cure and is the partner to Ran Hanamichi aka Cure Yum-Yum. Like the rest of the important fairies, Mem-Mem and his friends came from the CooKingdom, a place that was thrown into chaos after the enemies had destroyed the place and Recipe-Bon from the kingdom. Mem-Mem and his friends (Kome-Kome and Pam-Pam) were tasked with finding the legendary Pretty Cure to help recover the Recipe-Bons and save their kingdom! This would allow him to encounter Ran Hanamichi who would become the victim of the week and have her restaurant sabotaged by the enemies. Wanting to help Ran and with Ran's heated passion, the two of them team up and help Ran transform into Cure Yum-Yum!
Personality wise, Mem-Mem is the most rational out of his fairy friends while being very calm and never complains. He enjoys taking care of Kome-Kome and Pam-Pam, being their older brother figure and always enjoys Ran's energy. He always does his best to help Ran whenever he can, supporting her with all of his heart!
Mem-Mem is voiced by Tomoe Hanba who's known for voicing Etna from the Disgaea series, Velma Dinky from the Scooby-Doo! series, Asage from the Bleach series, Yukino Mayuizumi from Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Calaveras from Sailor Moon Crystal, a young Enrico Pucci from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Gracia Hughes from the Fullmetal Alchemist series, Mikoto Utsugi from the King of Braves GaoGaiGar series, and so much more!
Since I haven't seen Delicious Party Pretty Cure yet and the only character I know I like 1000% is Amane Kasai, I don't really have any big opinions on Mem-Mem and the other fairies besides them being cute. While he and the rest of the energy fairies may not be my favorites out of the Precure fairies, I do appreciate how cute they are! Plus, Mem-Mem is the responsible one who's always looking out for his friends so I adore that! He's very adorable and I love it!

Now, let's talk about Yu-yu!
Yu-yu Kondo is the new main character of the 2021 era of the Vanguard anime known as Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, a reboot to the series that aims to fix some of the problems of the game! In this new series, we encounter a shy boy named Yu-yu who has trouble standing up for himself and can easily read the emotions of people. Despite this, Yu-yu is often used as a dress up doll for his older sisters, making him wear cute girly outfits that he can't say no to. After running away from home one day, he would encounter Megumi Okura and quickly form a friendship with her as she introduced him to a Vanguard team known as Blackout where everyone is accepted! This would begin Yu-yu's journey of self improvement and discovery as he encounters new friends and learns new lessons while having fun!
Yu-yu would return for the next era of overDress known as will+Dress, where he would become the leader of Blackout and participate in a large Vanguard tournament known as Deluxe, until he would discover a sinister plot behind the scenes...as a new cult known as the Uniformers begins to emerge from the shadows, it's up to Yu-yu and his friends to stop it!
Although absent during the DivineZ era of Vanguard, Yu-yu would return in season 4 of DivineZ known as the "DELUXE Finals Arc" where he would introduce himself to the newest protagonist, Akina Myodo and help him achieve victory in the newest Deluxe tournament!
Personality wise, Yu-yu began the series as a shy but compassionate boy who has a hard time of telling people no. He's a very empathetic person who can read the hearts of others, allowing him to help them with their problems. However, Yu-yu is unable to fully use that power due to his timidness. Over the course of the series, Yu-yu would become more confident and cheerful with his life, able to finally say no to people and finally stand up for himself! He truly believes that people should have fun and wishes to help people express their own way of having fun. As he grew older, Yu-yu has grown into a confident young man who has embraced all aspects of his life and is currently studying fashion in France (this is canon! The games said so!)! In fact, he came back to Japan during the DivineZ era just to cheer on his friends who were participating in the newest Deluxe tournament!
Yu-yu is voiced by Shouta Aoi who's known for voicing himself from the Pop Team Epic series, Gabo from Disney's Wish, Ortho Shroud from Disney's Twisted-Wonderland series, Rosado from Fire Emblem Engage, the protagonist/Sakuya Shiomi from Persona 3: The Weird Masquerade, Fisheye from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal, Geordo Stuart from My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, Yasuhiro Isshiki from Collar x Malice, Renren from First Love Monster, Kensuke Hibiki from The Caligula Effect, Mana Senri/Kaiser Insight from Princess Connect! Yu-yu runs a Dragon Empire Nation deck, a nation ruled by dragons with one of the strongest military powers within the world of the card game. Yu-yu's deck specifically revolves around the overDress mechanic and a level 0 card named Trickstar who evolves when you place a card with the "overDress" keyword on top of him! This allows Trickstar to evolve into a bunch of new forms called Vairina, each with their own advantages and firepower! Trickstar is supported by Yu-yu's main grade 3, Chakrabarthi Divine Dragon, Nirvana who has very simple skills! The first ability is a once per turn skill to call a Trickstar from your graveyard by discarding a card! And when Nirvana attacks, you pay one resource to give Nirvana and all of your units in the "overDress" state an extra +10,000 attack! This battle skill isn't once per turn and the boost lasts until the end of your turn, so if you have ways to make Nirvana attack again, you can do this again!
During season 2 of overDress, Nirvana would evolve into the level 4 unit known as Chakrabarthi True Dragon, Mahar Nirvana who gives your entire front row an extra +10,000 attack if you have a card in the "overDress" state! Once per turn, you can place a card with
"Nirvana" in its name from your resources or hand into the graveyard to call a Trickstar from the graveyard! Then, if your opponent has less than four damage, Nirvana immediately inflicts one damage to them, helping you close the game faster! This would also allow us to see Trickstar's strongest form of this era, allowing him to transform into the level 4 unit known as Vairina Esperaridea! When you overDress him on top of Trickstar, you place every single card with the "overDress" keyword from your graveyard under him! Then, at the end of the battle that your Vanguard attacks, Vairina gets to attack again and gives himself +5,000 power for EVERY card that is attached to him for his "overDress" state! During the beginning of the overDress era, there was a time where Nirvana was the top meta deck for this new power that could pressure the opponent without hesitation!...until will+Dress that is...
During will+Dress, Yu-yu demonstrated a new evolution of overDress known as X-overDress (pronounced as Cross overDress) where you combine Trickstar with a dragon race known as a Prayer Dragon, allowing Trickstar to evolve into new forms of Vairina! At the same time, Nirvana would be reborn into a new form known as Chakrabarthi Phoenix Dragon, Nirvana Jheva! Like the other forms of Nirvana, Jheva discards a card from your hand to call a Trickstar and a Prayer Dragon from your grave to your field, allowing you to X-overDress and recover your spent resources! And when Jheva attacks, she (yes Nirvana is a woman) allows a card in the "X-overDress" state to attack once more! like the original Nirvana, this skill isn't once per turn, so if Nirvana can attack again, she can make Vairina attack again! At the end of will+Dress season 3, we would see Vairina's new evolution that surpasses Esperaridea known as Blazing Holy Sword Equip, Stravairina who gives himself and Nirvana an extra +10,000 attack and allows Nirvana to draw three cards during the battle phase if he is in the "X-overDress" state! And when Stravairina is able to attack again from Nirvana's effect, Stravairina allows all of your Prayer Dragons and Trickstar units to attack again and destroys your opponent's ENTIRE FIELD including their extra markers! This destruction doesn't target, so it's a mass fieldwipe! Although X-overDress was very bad during the beginning of will+Dress, the deck was able to evolve and adapt to combat the new meta, allowing Nirvana to mow down even more enemies!
During DivineZ, Yu-yu would return once more with Nirvana Jheva at his side! He would also obtain a new form of Vairina known as Judgement Blades Equip, Ars Vairina who sends a Trickstar from your deck to the grave when you discard him! And when he's summoned in the X-overDress state, you place EVERY card from your graveyard under Ars Vairina for his X-overDress state. He then gains +1,000 attack for each card equipped to him and gets to deal an extra damage to the opponent when he successfully attacks! Trickstar would also gain a new friend and upgrade in the form of Trickstar & Suendi, another level 0 unit who counts as a Trickstar and Prayer Dragon to fulfill the X-overDress condition! And when you're attacked, you detach Trickstar & Suendi from your X-overDress unit to give your Vanguard an extra +5,000 shield! With this new upgrade, Nirvana and Trickstar are able to deal a lot more damage than before and can recover their resources faster!
YU-YU!!!!! MY SOOOOOONNNN!!!!!!! I really adore Yu-yu during the beginning of overDress and he's quickly become another favorite character and protagonist within the series! I mean- he's another shy baby boy who learns to become confident and that's all I need to say. His growth was one of my favorite parts of overDress and the way he's able to use his empathy to help the characters within the series! Although I had some complaints about him (mostly due to bad writing during the will+Dress era), Yu-yu has improved SO much since the end of will+Dress season 3, and he's grown into a very confident young man who isn't afraid of his femininity anymore! Did I mention that he's studying in Paris? He's studying fashion in Paris. HE'S DOING SO GREAT I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

It was a rowdy, yet bright night at the abandoned amusement part known as Wonder Hill. It was here that you first learned to play the card game known as Cardfight!! Vanguard, introducing you to a new world and friends to bond with. This amusement park is the home base of Team Blackout, a place that welcomes and accepts everyone.
And it is here that everyone was anxiously and patiently waiting for the return of their former leader.
"Everyone! I'm home-!"
"YU-YU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Kondo Yu-yu yelped the second you tackled him to the ground, embracing him into a tight hug. You hummed as Yu-yu squirmed under your grasp, doing his best to wiggle free. "I've missed you so much, Yu-yu!"
The poor boy could only chuckle as he released an awkward smile. "H-Hi (Y/N)…it's great to see you again too…!"
"But I'm not the only one who missed you~!" you grinned, finally releasing the boy from your grasp as you pulled out your cards, revealing the familiar bright flame dragon that the two of you bonded over. "Mahar Nirvana missed you too!"
"Nirvana.." Yu-yu couldn't help but chuckle again. "I see you've been taking care of her?"
"Of course!" you nodded. "You're the one who introduced me to her! Of course I'm gonna cherish her!"
"I'm glad," Yu-yu couldn't help but smile as he gently grabbed your hand, entangling it within his.
"Oi, (Y/N)!" screamed the current leader of Blackout, Okura Megumi, as she rushed towards you two with a playful smirk. "I know you two wanna catch up, but could you stop hogging Yu-yu all to yourself? He's our friend too!"
"I-I wasn't trying to hog him!" you pouted as Yu-yu sighed.
"You literally tackled me to the ground.."
"B-but I missed you! And so did Nirvy!"
"I know, and I missed you too-!"

Next, we'll talk about Elysia!
Elysia is one of the main playable characters within the Honkai Impact 3rd game. She's one of the main driving forces of the later half of the game, being one of the many assistants to our protagonists in order to help them grow and reach their full potential. She was born within the Previous era, an era that was more destructive than the current due to the monsters known as the Honkai being much more powerful than they are today. She, like many from the Previous Era, was part of an organization called MOTHs to combat the Honkai. She would also be the one to inspire the group to try again, creating the 13 Flame-Chasers and being the second-in-command. The 13 Flame-Chasers would store a copy of their memories within a space known as the Elysian Realm in order to pass on their stories to the next generation. And yet...during the final battle, Elysia would sacrifice herself in order to save her friends, paving the way for hope within the Current Era. In fact, if not for Elysia, none of the characters we know and love within this series would have made it out alive.
Personality wise, Elysia is a very simple girl: she likes cute things, loves the color pink, loves humanity, and loves pretty girls! In fact, Elysia has stated multiple times that pretty girls make her knees weak! Elysia has a deep love for humanity, always wishing to help out humanity to the best of her abilities! She's so friendly that she can easily make friends with anyone she comes across! She enjoys anything and everything while also giving out compliments to herself and everyone around her! She loves interesting people, and rarely speaks ill of anyone or gets mad! Even if she has to insult someone, she'll always do it in a teasing way or will say it in the nicest way possible! She's so charming that no one can stay mad at her and is always honest with all of her heart! Still, she keeps herself at a distance to everyone, rarely talking about her own past but is always able to find something about everyone else. But how can you stay mad at Miss Pink Elf? She's such a sweetheart! No matter what she says, she'll always inspire hope within you and cheer you up~!

ELYSIAAAAAA ONE OF MY OG HONKAI WAIFUS! Like Seele and Veliona, Elysia was one of the main girls who dragged me into the Honkai series, and she's stayed as one of my favorite characters. What's not to love about her? She's confident, compassionate, caring, empathetic, beautiful, sweet, adorable, mysterious, and is just a very friendly woman to be around! I really adore Elysia since she's always giving everyone so much of her love and expects nothing in return. She's so selfless and I respect her so much! Hell, she was even one of the s rank girls I got in one or two rolls when her first battlesuit came out in the day. She's just so cute damnit I love her so much!!!! "Don't be like that," Elysia huffed before leaping out of her seat and skipping towards you. "Everyone will love you~! I've been meaning to introduce you to my fans for a while now~!"
"B-but…Elysia.."
You yelped when Elysia squished your cheeks. "Now now, what did we say?" she giggled. "Negative thoughts will only~"
"…m-make them come true…"
"Mhm!" Elysia placed a kiss onto your forehead before forcing you to smile. "So let's try and turn that frown upside down~! I promise, you'll be alright! I keep talking to everyone about how cute you are, so they really want to meet you!"

Elysia on the other hand continued to giggle. "See~? Isn't (Y/N) so cute~?" she winked before kissing your cheek. "I love seeing them blush~ it's so adorable~"
I was looking through some memes I had, and I realized this is pretty much what happened between them when Gentlu got unmasked XD I will never get over the Heart Juicy Mixer being literally just a fancy blender gun, peak funny magical girl item right there!
In the year 2042 BCE, Vanessa created the Energy Flickies (later Cure Flickies) to become guardians of the first world she created, CooKingdom, because she thought Diabolos would attack it.
She created Kome-Kome I the Energy Flicky of Rice, Pam-Pam the Energy Flicky of Bread, and Mem-Mem the Energy Flicky of Noddles. The species of the Energy Flickies were picked by four of her children. Amethyst and Topaz (age 10,500) picked a dragon for Mem-Mem because they love dragons. Emerald (age 11,507) picked a dog for Pam-Pam because she likes to share her sandwiches with the royal guard dogs (Pam-Pam was styled after her favorite one). While Ruby (age 5,465) picked a fox for Kome-Kome I and actually drew a picture for her mother, who was very impressed with the result.
She took them to the Kingdom and told them their names (Ruby had chosen their full names and Emerald their nicknames), their powers, and their role before giving them to the King and Queen.
4,040 years later, in 1998 CE, Vanessa sensed that something would happen to CooKingdom, so she decided to create a Cure team for them. Sapphire came up with the different features for the Heart Cure Watch, the only thing her mother came up with was using it to capture Recipepes, and the idea to turn the Energy Flickies into Cure Fairies.
She also noticed Amane's strong connection with the Parfait Recipepe and suggested making her a Cure. Sapphire designed the Heart Fruits Pendant two different designs - the crystal heart and pendant, as well as the Heart Juicy Mixer, Creamy Fleuret, and Party Candle Tact, but it was her mother who powered them up and linked them to the card.
Five years later when Kome-Kome I dies, Ruby is devastated and Vanessa is angry that it happened since they need Kome-Kome for the Cures. So Vanessa takes his soul and reincarnates it, she shows Kome-Kome ll to Ruby before sending her to CooKingdom.
