I like how according to people in the reblogs that it is misogynistic for a woman to simply have expressed (in a one sentence quote in a random article) dislike towards a book written by another woman.
Well, not so much the author as the audience. That person’s argument seems to be that accurately describing a book written for teen girls as “fine for them” but not appropriate for a college reading list, is a misogynistic statement.
Which....uh. Sure? Or maybe you’re reading malicious intent into how she said that clause when there isn’t any?
I was writing widely-read actual articles on the Internet when I was the age of this person quoted, and I didn’t get my language picked through with a fine tooth comb as carefully as everyone is doing with this one quote in a small-town South Dakota newspaper.
