Addison knew she’d screwed up, she had known for a while that she screwed up but she hadn’t expected Derek to actually walk away. Not like that. Not in that way. She had originally let him have his time to blow off steam and deal with what he’d found out, but she wasn’t expecting him to pick up and leave. Four months, he’d been gone for four months and after a while, the hospital’s gossip had spilled over from Seattle. Addison was surprised to hear about Derek having a girlfriend and it was unmistakable to see the pity in people’s eyes when she went to work.

After a few weeks of the rumors of her husband having a girlfriend in Seattle, Addison couldn’t take it anymore. Mark had practically begged her to send him divorce papers and let it go, she couldn’t do that though. She needed to see for herself that they really were over. Fortunately for Addison, being a world class surgeon, it wasn’t hard for her to find a case that she would be needed for in Seattle and she called Richard to set it up. She was on a flight to Seattle within two days. 

The flight was long and Addison was anxious, but she also knew that she couldn’t and wouldn’t let anyone know that she was rattled. Her entire childhood and upbringing had taught her exactly how to handle this situation. She had the cab take her to her hotel room and drop off her things before heading over to the hospital; she had a patient to see and a boss to catch up with. Addison had rehearsed what she was going to say to Derek when she saw him, if she saw him, and she planned to run into him so she would know where they stood before she started working her case in the morning. 

Walking into the hospital, Addison kept her head held high and refused to let anyone see how she felt. She was sure that Derek would have no problem spinning everything to his favor, not that he was exactly wrong but there were a lot of details that would be left out. She was never one to be well liked or popular and Addison was prepared for it. Stepping in, she had every intention of initially going up to the desk and asking where Richard’s room was and if they had seen Derek leave for the day, but there he was helping a woman into her coat before he made eye contact with her. She saw the look in his eyes that let her know that he knew that he was caught. Finally, she got a look at who the other woman was and was entirely shocked to see that it was none other than her childhood friend, Meredith Grey. Knowing that this was about to become extremely interesting, she started to walk over to the two.

“We won!” Ben smiled as he ran into the pawn shop. “Our first game of the season and we won.” Of course with only 2 high schools in Storybrooke, it wasn’t hard to know what the other team was going to do.

He was sure she knew what she was doing - she’s the one who walked here in the first place. “I’m sure you’re good and well aware that the buses are on strike? The night ones aren’t running, you’ll need a different way home. And a safer one at that.”

taking a small step and leaning closer towards regina at the nurses station, she chuckled lowly. “regina, i have on the same lab coat and scrubs you see me in every day.” blue eyes went back and forth from brown eyes and the still obvious blush on regina’s cheeks. “and you’ve never looked like that, so you must have been conjuring up something else in that beautiful mind of yours.” she smiled her dimples emphasizing how much joy she was getting from the entire situation. she was sure the blush on the brunettes cheeks was getting more prominent.

     IT’S TAKEN A LOT OF GETTING USED TO, and for the most part rayne has been trying her hardest not to rely only on herself. but god it’s hard. for the last two years the only person in her corner has been herself and all of a sudden, for the third time, her entire life has been turned upside down.      she’s still trying to get used to the idea that regina is her mother. the timeline itself is even a mess to rayne. nothing makes sense to her. it’s taking time and she’s so used to handling everything herself that it’s second nature to her. rayne doesn’t think about letting anyone in.

       CARINA WAS going to kill her. like she literally might kill her. well, she shouldn’t it’s not like she had purposely fallen through the ceiling of a building and sprained her ankle and got a concussion on purpose. or maybe she did just so she could get some time off? No. Definitely not her. The moment she’d arrived, word had reached Bailey that a Fire Captain was in the emergency room, she knew it wouldn’t be long before Carina was there too. And she was there. Once her surgery had finished. Maya turned her attention towards the woman as she entered, the blonde offering up a faint incredibly high smile “HI BABY.”
