For the record, I don’t think this is that big a deal. Even if this was an actual theft it would have run the statute of limitations by now. In California, even felony theft has a limit of 3 years, which would be up, and my rick roll loss meme has an approximate net worth of $0.00. It’s mostly just hilarious to find out about this in 2021, three and a half years after the fact, and dig up my old post with 16 notes on it.

Recently, a rising YouTuber known as LeafyIsHere uploaded a “satirical” video where he roasted a fellow user named TommyNC2010. Leafy is well known in the YouTube community for his loud, aggressive, harsh tone when he commentates/reacts to a video; often criticizing the creator more than the actual video itself. However, Leafy was unaware that his latest video targeted someone who was autistic. Immediately response videos were uploaded, and forums attacked Leafy for his mistake.
