When I started shipping them: Been on this ship since 2012 babey!!!

My thoughts: punk bfs w/ a lot of chemistry, they've both been through plenty of traumas in their own lives and sorta understand where the other is coming from...... (also this ship is how i met you @zephiraz my loving partner of 8 years *heart eyes emoji*)

What makes me happy about them: they're not pretty boys except for when they want to be (SO much eyeliner and hair products, their bathroom is a MESS), their relationship feels natural for them, they very lovingly insult each other yet they also don't let the other get away with shit, but also sometimes they're just content being lazy gay snakes dragons together

What makes me sad about them: they deserve happiness but shit keeps happening, who would have predicted that past misdeeds would have future consequences :(

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I guess if Cobra's dialogue is hard to distinguish from Gajeel's? His vocab does get more relaxed post-timeskip, but not that much,,,,

Things I look for in fanfic: .... new fanfic. There's 15 works on AO3 and 4 of them are from ME. FFnet is practically just me.... oTL

My wishlist: More fic or art in general? Maybe some more canon teamups? <:3c

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Laxus x Gajeel x Cobra polyship... it's technically not just them ;)c

How I feel about this character: this boy has adhd 100%

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I like most ships with him, but I don't really have a favorite?

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: I like his relationship with Katara. Especially when they pick on each other, because I will always be tired of the "siblings always get along perfectly" trope in fiction

My unpopular opinion about this character: He's obviously bi, but is a little nervous about the whole liking boys part bc of his upbringing. That being said, it's something he definitely gets over later in life.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish caffeinated beverages existed at that time period, because he definitely seems like the kind of person who should not consumer caffeine because then he sees all the time all the time

Favorite friendship for this character: Him and Aang are always fantastic idiots when it's no braincell day and it's great

My crossover ship: Sokkoya. (Sokka x Naoya Itsuki) It happened because of the rp that originally inspired Hiraethean Prophecy, and is one of the "canon" ships in the panfandom crossover fic version. :3x

How I feel about this character: this is my son and he deserves happiness ;-;

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Gajeel 100%, Laxus sometimes, occasionally Lucy or Levy depending on the moon phase and time of year. He and Midnight are exes, though they're on good terms.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: I like his relationship with the other Sorciere. "These guys are basically my annoying siblings. I constantly have to pick up after them which I don't mind because i care them. Don't insult them because i care them that's MY job."

My unpopular opinion about this character: He's not human and his pointy ears are NOT a symptom of dragonification. He might be a demon or he might be an elf, or another race that hasn't shown up yet.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I love Kinana and she's cute as hell but I wish she had stayed a snake, her secretly being a person serves no narrative function and kind of detracts from Cobra's character imho.

Favorite friendship for this character: I like his friendship with Jellal, because it's a lot of figuring out where they stand with each other after everything that's happened. HOWEVER Jellal knows that Cobra is honest and usually gives needed and thoughtful criticism, and Cobra is all too happy to tell Jellal when his head's getting too big. Which is always.

My crossover ship: Not a romantic one, but I like my other main son Naoya and Cobra being like... brothers. Though between Cobra, who hears thoughts and souls, and Naoya who is a literal empath that subconsciously loves to profile people, nobody around them has any mental privacy.... and are also subjected to the worst stupid jokes imaginable.

1. Who said I love you first?

Definitely Naoya. He would 100% say it first, especially given Kaname is not the best with feelings or words. (And, tbf, Naoya has very openly been in love with Kaname since they met and has told Kaname many, many times.)

2. Who loves to show off or tell people they're together?

Also definitely Naoya. He’s smart enough to know when it should be a secret for safety reasons, but he’s empathic and can be a jealous little shit. He knows when someone else is trying to flirt with his boyfriend and there’s only room for one major annoyance significant other in Kaname’s life, thank you.

4. Who was the most nervous on the first date?

Kaname. Not because he wasn’t sure Naoya liked him back (lol) but more that he’s a little jealous that his boyfriend is so... comfortable being on a date with him. (Between his own mixed feelings about being a demon god’s vessel and his own reservations about being so openly affectionate with another guy, it’s a mix of internalized emotions, but seeing Naoya actually smile instead of that fake smile he usually gives everyone is enough to trample those thoughts.)

Plus, Bael’s in the back of his mind making play-by-play commentary the entire time. (This isn’t what he meant when he said he wanted that twink obliterated. >:(((( )

Naoya, hands down. He’s a very physically touchy person with the people he actually cares about.

45. Kisses exchanged as they move around, hitting the edges of tables or nearly tripping over things on the floor before making it to the sofa, or bed.

It was always like this when it had been a while since they had last spent time alone together.

And it had been a while.

Nipping, fanged, quick kisses as they forgot the rest of the world in each other's presence. Hands grasping, pushing, pulling, wandering each other, slipping off layers of clothing that were discarded haphazardly on whatever sofa or armchair happened to be under the pair as they took turns pinning one another in an intimate dance of rough affection that only they knew the steps to.

For the two dragons - iron and poison - it usually ended in bed. But not like that, not always. Sometimes being so close was enough when they were both so touch-starved, when only the other's fingers caressing skin, seeking out and soothing scars, both old and new, would do.

It was a little, sudden bounce on the mattress that woke Gajeel. It could only mean that it was 1:37 in the morning and his bedmate had been spooked awake by the same thing as always.

It was confirmed as Cobra, in a very tired and body-is-awake-but-head-is-not voice asked: “Did you hear that?”

“I’m tellin' you, I’m haunted,” Gajeel rumbled, half-asleep. “‘S just the ghosts again.”

Gajeel didn’t need to be facing Cobra know that it was an unamused and exhausted look that he felt on the back of his head.

“It’s the heating vent,” Gajeel said with a yawn. It was always the heating vent. He rolled over and hooked an arm around Cobra, pulling him back down under the covers. “Yer always so jumpy.”

Eventually Cobra settled, his frame relaxing. “You’d sleep through the house being on fire.”

Gajeel only grinned. “Like hell. You can’t make me.”

Cobra rolled his eyes. “What are you? Five?”

“Out of five, maybe.”

“More like one out of five stars,” Cobra started, “Heavier than expected. Lazy. All the silverware went missing-”

“Hey! I made more!” Gajeel bristled.
