🚨🚦 WIP checkpoint!

What is/are the wordcount/s on your main WIP/s and what is/are your goals for them?

Oh boy, here we go. Ordered from closest to being finished to...*hands*

A Game of Two Halves (KSJ; Part Two) 8.2k, almost finished. There's about...two or three sections left to write for this part so I'm estimating about 12k for pt 2 and then I'll tell myself I'll work on pt 3

happy birthday mango (Changbin & Felix) 1.5k, there's still a lot to write but it's a waaaay overdue birthday gift for my dearest @blog-name-idk

Closer (KTH) 2.7k, angst angst angst; a ex lovers to strangers to lovers(?) fic featuring childhood sweethearts, a runaway bride, a pining Taehyung, and misaligned life goals. I don't think it's really anywhere near finished but...if it's a oneshot then maybe another 5k, if it becomes a series...who knows.

the world is a garden (JJK) 400 words; woof what a WC difference between this and the others. it's for the namaste collab but I've only just got the beginning started and they haven't even made it to india!

burn even brighter (a working title for MYG) 8.3k words; a DEAD DOVE fic that has so much more to be worked on

gilded bones (a working title for ot7) 1.2kish; a supernatural ghost fic inspired by the quote  'all the ghost in this rotting house are falling madly in love with me' - a collab with @eserethriddle and mango

disrespect (KTH) 1.1k designed to be in the same universe as @hamsterclaw's Pow in which Taehyung is Poison Ivy and he wants to know why people don't treat them like they treat Jungkook

roadtrip au (MYG; KTH; KSJ) ~8k+ this one is in a lot of different segments because it's this HUGE project that I'm throwing my whole heart into

selkie au (KTH) an outline lol; a collab with Rei & Mango that's got it's outline and good bones but no actual fic written yet

some number of wips idk if i'll be returning to including a childhood friends to strangers to lovers JJK fic and an ot7 coffee shop AU

I am delighted to hear that you’ve somehow found me and that you’ve enjoyed the stories I’ve managed to share 💜 A Game of Two Halves certainly was a labor of love and I DO have a wip of part three littered with notes of what points I wanted to hit and probably a couple of paragraphs here and there as I was never good at writing linearly.

That being said, the short answer is yes. I plan to write part 3 one day.

The long answer is that…I don’t know how likely it is that it will be any time soon. I’m in a stage of my life where I don’t need the comfort of fanfic or the escapism the boys provided with me. I’m not sure if that’s a side effect of their military hiatus or if it’s a side effect of the things I’ve decided I was going to start doing to improve my quality of life.

Writing is so very precious to my heart and such a large part of who I am and how I made some of my most treasured friends, but I don’t really know what place it has in my life right now. Words don’t seem to flow the way I want them to, partly because I haven’t been excercising those muscles and partially because the things I want to say don’t fit into the projects that I want to prioritize.

It’s both silly and strange.

Unfortunately, I also don’t have the time I used to have— which really wasn’t much time at all. I work a lot, I’ve been traveling more than ever, and I decided to go back to school. I’ve also started prioritizing reading, both for the simple enjoyment and in hopes that it will help me find whatever I think I’m missing when it comes to writing again.

Ah, I rambled a lot there. Tl:dr: it’s on my list of things I’d like to get done but it’s so up in the air as to when. I’m sorry if that’s a disappointing answer but know that it was such a lovely surprise to have someone ask about that fic.

I have eight stories of various lengths (all in the same universe and they’re AUs of some of my couples) at the moment and even though I don’t plan on posting them any time soon, I still haven’t figured out what to put in the summary. I’m assuming this is in reference to what you might’ve initially followed me for. If so, I’d like to say thank you for sticking around! I know I’ve gone on quite the fandom journey across my time on tumblr and I know that I’m a reblogs spree menance who tags very little.
