9 & 1 - Cordelia

1. Their physical weak spots

Honestly, I don’t know if she has one.  She was always pretty healthy growing up, and she doesn’t have any major injuries.  She is absolutely worthless in a fight, though, and Malachai always teases her for being a human weak spot if they every get in trouble.

9. Humiliating memories

Definitely the time Malachai walked in on her changing after a sleepover with his sister Naomi.  She was only thirteen at the time (and he was the hot older brother).  She couldn’t look at him for a week.

Alright Becca, Cordelia has me intrigued. What are her 5 favorite things to do, 4 people who annoy her to no end, 3 top things she loves about Malachai, the two things she dislikes about him most, and 1 middle name!

Did you just come up with this??  Because this is awesome.  Also hard because the first and second half of this fic take place over four years apart, and things are very, very different four years later, and their relationship isn’t exactly positive.

5 favorite things to do– lose herself in a book, escape into Fox Forest for long walks, volunteer at the local hospital, party with her friends, spend time with Malachai (that last one’s iffy depending on where in the timeline we are)

 4 people who annoy her– Tom Keller, Sierra McCoy, Jughead Jones, Alice Cooper, and Penny Peabody

3 things she loves about Malachai– how protective he is (of course, she is an independent badass, but no one’s ever made her feel so fiercely loved like he does), his wicked sense of humor, and the way he never backs down when something or someone’s in his way

2 things she dislikes about him– his addictive personality, his hunger for power

1 middle name– Rose

19 - Cordelia

Jemma, did you know that this one would be a huge damn plot point for momento mori?  Because I think you did, so this is gonna be hella redacted in order to maintain suspense.

19. People they’ve hurt or indirectly killed, and how it affected them

Basically, Cordelia’s whole life has been shaped by death.  Her dad’s been dead as long as she can remember, her mom’s always been on the brink of death with cancer, and someone’s death pushes her absolutely over the edge when she’s seventeen years old.  That death she blames herself for, if only she could have dialed 911, if only she’d found them sooner, if only she’d been able to do something, anything.

It’s why she became a nurse, it’s why she left Riverdale, and ultimately, it’s why she had to come back.

Welp, I guess it’s time for me to start developing their sex life.  Here goes nothing…

25. What moves do they know work on the other?

Malachai’s pretty much always ready to go.  All it takes is a look from Cordelia, and he’s ready to yank her into the back room of the bar.  Even more so if she does something badass like stand up to some douche-y guy.

Cordelia’s a little harder to get going.  She’s always been somewhat reserved when it comes to sex since she takes a really long time to trust someone.  She’s much more likely to melt in his hands after soft kisses and sweet words.

26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?

In addition to just really liking sex, Malachai likes the fact that it lets him get out of his head for a while.  When he’s in bed with Cordelia, she’s all he has to think about.  He doesn’t have to worry or be stressed, he can just be with her.

Cordelia’s kind of simillar.  She likes that she can let down her guard, that for at least a little while, she knows Malachai’s going to take care of her.  It’s the one time of day when she doesn’t have to be an independent bad ass, and she can just be Cordelia.

28. Write a ~300 fantasy one of them has about the other. 

I think I’ll save this one for later since I don’t have any good ideas.

29. What are each of their signature foreplay moves?

Malachai: This guy is huge on making out.  Kissing, biting, a little grinding, all before any clothes come off.  He loves littering her body with hickeys, kissing every inch of skin as he takes her clothes off.  By the time they’re naked, he wants them both to be ready to go.

Cordelia: She knows how much he craves her reaction, and she’s happy to give it. All she needs to do is tell him how good it feels, how much she wants him, and he’ll be ready.  When it comes to foreplay, she’s a master of getting him going with nothing but her voice.  

30. Write a short exchange of dirty talk between them.

This may or may not be a super rough draft of a semi-important scene from some part of the fic.  Sorry it sucks.

“Fuck,” he moaned, his lips trailing down her neck. “I thought you said this wasn’t going to happen.”

“And I thought you said you were done with drugs,” she panted, her chest flushing.

“Point taken.”

“Good, now I really fucking need you to take your pants off.”

“Are you sure, Cor?  I know–”

“Malachai, it’s been four fucking years.  Just shut up and take your pants off.”

What is Cordelia's relationship with the serpents and the Northsiders?

Thanks for the question!

Serpents-

Since she leaves Riverdale for college about 4 years before the events of the show, she doesn’t think much of them.  The two gangs are obviously rivals, but they don’t really have anything they’re actively fighting about.  If anything, she doesn’t take them very seriously because they’re so damn mild for a gang.

Northsiders-

She’s never interacted with them in more than passing, but she hates them.  She’s jealous that they can just got to Pop’s and afford whatever they want, that their school has computers and a nice library, that none of them seem to have any idea what it’s like to struggle.  

Since she’s quite a few years older than the mains on the show, she really doesn’t know of any of the Serpent or Northside characters, except maybe FP, Tall Boy, Alice Cooper, and Tom Keller.

Since I haven’t talked about her yet, here are some fun facts about Cordelia!

Cordelia Malcolm:

The first time she read Wuthering Heights, she thought Heathcliff and Catherine were the most romantic couple ever.

When she re-read it years later, she realized just how wrong she was.

She’s always hated her freckles, at least until Malachai kissed constellations across her body and told her she was beautiful.

Her first day as a nurse, she realizes she has a thing for doctors.

(More specifically, a certain doctor…)

She vowed never to return to Riverdale, but that was another promise she’d never be able to keep.

Her and Naomi became best friends when Naomi kicked the ass of a guy who made fun of her in the lunchroom of Southside Middle School.

When Malachai found out about it, he told Naomi he’d taught her well and told Cordelia she was welcome in their house at any time.

She got her first tattoo at the Ghoulie’s shop when she was 17.  

While she never became an official Ghoulie, the little skull tattoo on her hip means that she’ll always be under their protection.

This really, really makes me want to start working on Momento Mori.

I'm hooked on coredelia. What did she go to college for?is she a ghoulie? What is her current relationship status?

Aw, you’re so sweet!!

She went to college for nursing, she is not a Ghoulie (though she did consider it when she was younger), and by the time she comes back to Riverdale after college, she is decidedly single (but it’s way more complicated than that).

I wouldn’t say triangle, maybe more like a really messy mass of squiggly lines with 3-5 people at any given time.
