We both worked together and in seconds flat all of the eggbots were in pieces around us ; but Metal had escaped .
Great . . . Now I could expect to be choked again anytime of the day tomorrow -- oh wait , it is tomorrow . It's one o'clock in the morning ! " Damn ." I sighed , scratch ING the back of my head and wincing at the terrible , aching pain on my chest where Metal jabbed and shocked me with his energy . I turned to the ninja who had helped me ; at first I thought it was Espio but she was a girl and her skills were very , very similar to Amy's . Only faster and stronger ( and she doesn't have a Piko Hammer so . . . ) . I first regrouped with Tails and Knuckles ; they were all beaten up a bit but I probably looked worse ( Metal was here to kill ME , they only got hurt trying to help me and I didn't like it . ) " Are you guys ok ? Tails and Knuckles ? " I asked putting my hands on their shoulders with worry in my eyes . They both gave me a look with furrowed eyebrows and a I rolled mine and nodded ; " Fine . You're right , the Resistance is in need of help from me . The Egg Empire is on the rise after eight years of silence . . . I'll help . " I sighed as I bowed my head to them in respect , they smiled at me and nodded . " Hey , that's one more adventure for Team Sonic , you know . " Tails chuckled softly , I grinned at him but then turned my attention to the hooded ninja girl. She was kicking and digging in the remains and broken parts of each robot ; I knew what she was doing . . . She was looking for animals that might have been captured and stuffed in there against their will .
How DARE you put these poor , innocent creatures in your metalheads!? Amy once roared at Eggman as she had pulled out an injured , pink bird which later became known as Birdie ; her little bird friend .
I snapped back to reality and headed towards the ninja , she turned immediately and stood still , her shady green eyes locking onto mine beneath the hood she wore that covered them . I grinned at her , even though my face was pretty banged up ; " Hey . . . Listen , um thanks for the help back there; I would've finally died if it weren't for you . " I softly said to her , going closer . She nodded and bowed her head as she took small steps back from me as I walked closer to her. " Why are you staggering away? I am not gonna harm you or anything bad . " I asked , hearing her trembles and watched her reach out her hand at me , telling me to stop. I stopped and laughed a little then let out my hand passionately ; " I'm Sonic The Hedgehog and you are ? " I greeted gently and warmly , she nodded shyly and pointed at herself and shook her hood . " Ah , you're Hood , huh? Well , Hood . Nice to meet you and thank you for helping with this whole mess and saving me and my friends . " I told her with an awkward smile . She puts a shaky thumbs up and turns behind her for a moment . I look at her with confusion before putting my hand on her shoulder ,"You ok? You look a bi-- "
The last thing I saw was stars and felt shaking in my skull .

You knocked him out with a punch to his face or cheek or whatever! I told myself in my head as I drove along the road in my bike . I had to rush back home and leave or else Tails and Knuckles would've ended me right there . I probably gave away identity right there because I once punched Sonic the same way once . When he had started to tease my strawberry shortcake , he deserves that one but this one he didn't . I still remember how upset he was back then after the punch and how puffy and red his cheek was . I focused on the road and getting home , with the eerie and faint thought of them discovering I'm still alive at the lab .
I just didn't know what to do , my instincts took over. . . . Maybe I should've taken his hand and shook it with mine or just left . Did I punch him because I hated him or because I hated myself to much to face him?
Let's just get home . . .
Sonic T. Hedgehog's POV :
" Ouch! " I whined at Amy as she dabbed my hot , swollen cheek with an ice pack . " Sorry . . This is my fault , I shouldn't have punched you . I was just mad you were teasing the cake . " Any explained slowly with guilty eyes bht then flared up , " AGAIN " she darkly stated . I shook at her ; "Ok ! I'm sorry too but your punches hurt like Shadow's but worse ! " I quickly stuttered as I watched her dark glare soften . " You can be so insensitive sometimes but . . . I forgive you , but next time I'll use my hammer if you're not careful . " She sighed , putting her hand on my cheek and smiling with her rosey chuckle .
I jolted awake , my skull still shaking like heck and my chest pain coming back to me . I was back in the house , lying on the couch and Tails was relieved to see me awake ; " Sonic , thank goodness . We thought that punch would put you into sleep mode for the rest of the year . " He joked as he bandaged the scratches on my arm from Metal Sonic . An ice pack was strapped to my check and I frowned , " What had happened again? " I asked , somehow feeling clueless of it all . " Well , let's see . You tried flirting with the all legendary ninja hero Hood and got a rather aggressive response to the face and we're knocked out . Then she left . " Knuckles teased with a straight face as he leaned on the wall in the dark corner . But I could see he had enjoyed it when I was knocked out by Hood . " And I was not flirting with her ! " I snapped , Knuckles and Tails burst into loud laughter and fell to the ground with tears. I frowned at waited for them to shut the hell up.
