That is amazing! I was just elected as VP of my school's GSA, and I'm hoping to do for it what my friends and I did for the qpoc org we started at TAMU. There were a lot more resources there, so I'm hoping to network with other orgs to help me out.

Yeah, I am learning the value of networking with this group, too.  One of the things we have going for us is that the Event Programmer for CMEP (Center for Multicultural Education) is queer so he's always pushing his club leaders to reach out and looking for ways to coordinate on events and workshops.

Which basically serves to make her hated whatever piss poor fandom The Leftovers creates. But, as to my feelings...I loved her in her first scene, but then I saw that she has something going on with the sheriff's dad and that alone gave me pause

I'm not exactly expecting the best for Lucy judging from her character bio and last scene with the sheriff's father. She definitely has potential, but now that I know this comes from a LOST producer's mind...

So yes, we are in the same exact mental place on this.

Also I keep forgetting that the rest of the world isn't predisposed to adore the fuck out of WOC Mayors of small towns who run a tight ship and take little to no shit from law enforcement.  But yeah, god, whatever fandom this show gets is going to loathe her, aren't they?

Yeah... the character within herself is fantastic but her positioning with consideration to showrunner history... this can't be heading anywhere good.

Oh goodness, I am so glad that there are others that are just as disgusted by what the show is doing to its Black and Asian characters as I am.

I almost turned off the tv in the middle of episode 2 because I was so... let down.

Are you also feeling the way I feel about Lucy?  Because I don't even know how to explain it but I know exactly what it is.
