tips for journal writing

1/28/2006

20 years ago I was doing my last play, Anton Chekhov’s “The Seagull”.

I was a misdemeanor drone attorney  for the Public Defender’s Office in Modesto. I think that I lived in Turlock, California with Bobby the parrot and with a friend of my brother.

Sexually I was “Both ways.”

Single. No prospects of relationship.

Sacramento was now on the horizon. Gay and aids and all that.

My partner Jim started his first job in San Fransisco today (1/28/1986) He would be working at a garden center.

Ruth Ann, Jim's cousin, my father, Dennis and Margie, Jim’s Mom and Dad were all alive and well.

Tips for journal writing: At 50, it’s hard to recall 30. In 2006, it’s hard to recall 1986. (But, the journal recalls easily) I’m looking forward to remembering 1986 as 2006 flows along.

getting old

What’s wrong with me?! I have completely forgotten where we used this. Cheerdance 1986? ‘87? ‘95? ‘96? 2003? I just know those were the essential years for me. I won’t sleep tonight trying to remember :(
