i'm in love with ayeituaee and especially how you end up doing the more distorted pieces. like there's a lot i wanna gush about but i wanna ask a few questions abt the process if i may! obv don't feel obliged to reply
do you draw or colorpick directly from a screenshot? do you utilize something like the grid technique or are you free-handing it? in multiple pieces the colors you use astound me in regards to the free-handed posterization style you end up doing. it reads so much like video/image compression artifacts but you can tell they're freehanded and im very interested if you have any techniques on how you pull that off
the borders! its very fun to me that you have these tapered edges that make these digital pieces feel much more like physical pieces. do you create a rough "border" for yourself while drawing? do you erase for the tapered border effect instead?
in pieces like "a lonesome mother is asking you to leave" i notice that there's the glitching effect on the toolbar. do you free-hand that? did you edit it beforehand and draw with it? did you use paint's internal resize/crop/etc instead? the effect comes off so natural it thoroughly impresses me
i adore art capturing video games and the specific feelings of these strange spaces we attach to and call home. it speaks volumes to me in how its evolved. like... kristoffer zetterstrand's 2002 pieces of OOB counter-strike maps which eventually led to his pieces being added to minecraft as paintings, and now using digital painting to capture the OOB/glitches of minecraft!!! i think its very poetic! really great series you've got going ^_^
fuck around and find out (usually colorpicked from blocks and then we go from there)
as for 2 lets use fuzzball as an example bc its the only thing i can draw relatively quickly
^ see. here she is in a box. and then this is very important (2 me. at least). we take the 3px regular mspaint brush and then we draw over and outside the box
and then we get this :)
as for the glitching effert thats shift-drag (for the hearts( and freehanded baybeeee
cringetober day 27 is youtuber fanart but i dont have the time to make anything polished so here's a shitpost i made a while back of mea @memorydatas in a 2beep2meow situation with The Innyume Brothers
Artfight pieces from 2022 of some @nyxsmp folks!
YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO LOVE COSMERE. IVE NEVER READ A WORD OF THEM. ALL I KNOW IS . LIKE. KELSIER????? FORTNITE?????
OK LETS PUT IT THIS WAY. KELSIER IS LIKE IF KOMAEDA WAS A DILF. HES AN INSANE HOPE MAN WHO KILLS THE 1% ON A DAILY BASIS IF LEFT UNATTENDED. SEEING HIM DO EPIC SAX GUY DANCE IS A GIFT.
can you do fairly odd parents with no elmer au
idk i dont watch it but uhhh.........
1) vicky is actually nice and like a big sister
2) the parents are abusive
3) every wish timmy makes is slowly morphing his biology to be more and more fairy-like and when hes done he has to be someone elses fairy godparent. thats how they make new fairies.
3.1) timmy does not know this at first
3.1.1) timmy thinks this is fucken sick when he finds out
3.1.2) vicky is like “THESE FAIRIES ARE GONNA STEAL THIS KID??? FUCKED UP”
3.2) cosmo and wanda do know this
3.2.1) cosmo and wanda end up getting actually attached to timmy and wanting to be his parents
3.2.1.1) now the fairy cia is after them
4) timmys eyes are green

Like i will depend CPL because i like it and i think that other than. Um. Things that are learning experience for a new CPPS it’s pretty okay and they seem to… well after it exploded and then came back from the dead they do genuinely seem to be. decent despite internal staff drama managing to lead to the world’s most Week for CPPSes ever
i’ll also say i’ve personally never had issues with it on firefox but that’s not to erase your experience i’m just like. i wonder why it works fine for me and it’s hell for others because i hear complaints about the client running like shit a LOT, especially in games like pizzatron. i know that i personally always got more lag with NewCP so i was curious if you got lag there too
honestly, that's fair. I do think the game has potential, and I very much want it to improve, I just have a hard time being optimistic about them with everything that's happened.
and... yeah that's weird. I know one of my friends mentioned that they couldn't get it to work on FireFox unless they closed everything else, so I don't know what's up with that. it worked normally on Chrome for me after all the crashing and freezing with FireFox, so idk man. I can't say I've experienced more lag than normal in CPLeg's games (the occasional slowdown, yes, but nothing too bad), but I did notice a problem last night where trying to close Pizzatron or Ice Fishing freezes the entire game so uh. that's something. I don't know if this is a problem with more games than just those, because Puffle Roundup and Hydro Hopper worked just fine.
and NCP... yeah I've heard the lag is pretty bad there. I can't speak for how it currently plays, though, because I only played it before Flash died entirely. most of my knowledge of the game comes from hearing friends talk about it and looking stuff up. the closest to personally playing it I've done in "recent" history was having a friend screenshare themself playing that mostly-unfunny April Fools Party they had in 2021 because I didn't want to redownload the client just to see what the hell was up with that.
