3.What were their aspirations before the events of the Conclave?

He had extremely humble aspirations. He wanted to return to his clan, continue to craft, stay with his partner/wife/love of his life. Maybe have children? I'm not sure if either of them ever thought about that. They're both young. Sosi is 22 at the time of the conclave, and Dora is 26. 

But really. Very humble. Dora was meant to be the new Keeper when the current one was ready to give up the title, and all he wanted to do was stay at her side, take care of the clan, and make all the wonderful things that he could.

4. How did they start living together? Do they move? How do they choose the place?

Well in canon, Sosigenes and Menadora grow up together and are basically teenage sweethearts that stay together. 

In the Hipster Elf Trash AU (Hereby shorted to the acronym HETAU): I think they would move in together as soon as college began. The entire AU is about college, basically. 

In both of them, I'm not sure they would "move in" with Varric, or that Sosigenes would "move in" with Dorian. I mean, I suppose it could work. In Skyhold they're good enough at navigating their relationships to give everyone space and time together. Dorian and Menadora become very close friends, though, so I suppose all four of them could share a house, if they wanted to and had enough bedrooms for everyone to sleep alone if they preferred it. 

Outside of Skyhold? Perhaps! If not in the same house, probably very close. 

9. do they act different in public and at home?

Sosigenes talks more at home, but I think this question is really supposed to be about the relationships, and, no not really. Menadora and Sosigenes are sickeningly in love. They're one of those couples constantly sitting hip to hip and whispering to one another. I think Varric might be the only one to act differently about it in public. I just feel like he's more prone to keeping things/people who are important to him behind closed doors. 

11. sleeping habits?

Menadora and Sosigenes never sleep alone. Sometimes it's a three-person cuddle pile (Sosi and Dora have a big bed, thankfully) or, if Sosigenes spends the night with Dorian, Dora will sleep with Varric. Sosi and Dora are inseparable and basically sleep in permanent spooning positions with one another. I did mention that they were sickeningly in love. 

27. who leaves their stuff lying everywhere?

Dorian, I imagine. Is it just me, or does he seem like the kind of person who just flails around and walks away from whatever he was doing. Probably used to servants picking everything up, actually. I've always believed that Varric was incredibly neat and well organized, based on both his room at the Hanged Man and the fact writers seem to be fall into two categories: obsessively organized and catastrophically disorganized.

Between the elves, it's more Menadora than Sosigenes. She has a junk collection.

30. what does their closet(s) look like?

Fairly organized, but fairly mixed. Sosi and Dora share clothing, especially in the HETAU. The only thing getting in the way of that is that Sosigenes is approximately 6'1 and Menadora is about 5'5. They can't exactly share pants, but Menadora often wears baggy clothing, so shirts that fit Sosigenes well also have rotation in her wardrobe. 

40. who cusses more?

It's a contest between Dorian and Varric and they're both winning. 

41. what would they do if the other one was hurt?

Sosigenes is good at traditional, non-magical healing, so he'd do the best he could to help, while trying to keep his emotions level. No sobbing or panicking, just instantaneous focus on doing everything he could to help.

I expect that, despite the game removing healing magic, both Dora and Dorian know enough to help, and Varric can GET help. I expect that unless they were in the Deep Roads or something, Varric could find someone to help.

43.do they know how the other takes their coffee/tea?

Menadora and Sosigenes do. I expect Varric would too. Not sure about Dorian. I feel like he might be able to remember Starbucks orders for one or two of them, and never the same ones. But he'd try.

Sosigenes doesn't read very well. A product of Dalish practicality and his interest in artistic pursuits rather than scholarly ones has left him functionally illiterate. 

So just imagine. 

Skyhold book club. 

Menadora and Sosigenes Lavellan curled up with Varric in front of the fire. Sosi's head on his big chest, Menadora's on one of his legs. Sosi listening to the vibration in his chest and the heartbeat behind it while Varric reads Hard in Hightown aloud--doing all the voices.

BTW Dorian/Sosi is canon now. So the set-up is Menadora, Sosigenes, and Varric in a triad, with Sosi/Dorian on the side. Menadora approves as long as Dorian treats him well, though she occasionally threatens his mustache with a pocket knife.

Menadora and Sosigenes are not using that scarf right at all. How are they going to lead an Inquisition as hipster trash elves who can't even put on their clothes properly?

I don't mean Dorian btw. I need to talk about this more in detail but Sosi is basically married when he and Menadora become Inquisitors. Varric actually joins as a third because they both fall for him. It's very cute.

lyndztanica Whatever you do don't think about Sosi painting Dora's toenails with delicate patience, brow furrowing gently as he wipes a tiny amount of smudged polish off of the side of her cuticle before presenting his toes so she can do the same for him.
