I was really into the #anime movie #jin-roh and of course #CLUTCH I got to see them a million years ago when they toured with #TAD and another time with #MarilynManson There are some perks to being old. This poster led to me almost doing an album cover for the #offspring. The art director emailed me after seeing that I “used” the #elephantriders logo he had created for the band. Sadly the offspring job went nowhere. It was a tough lesson I had to learn with some bands - they have no clue what they want until it’s already done. After sending them a few rounds of sketches and painfully talking to the singer #whorefusedtobeingreferredtoasBRIAN trying to get an idea of what they were looking for - I quit the project. #funtimes Nowadays if a client doesn’t have an idea of what they’re looking for and just want a finished piece or are not even familiar with my work I usually turn the job down. The days of #killfee are well…dead. At least in the music biz. Or maybe just me. I dunno. I found a bunch of the old posters this weekend when I had to move my drawing table into the kitchen aka my storage space because of how hot it’s been in my studio. Working on a bunch of stuff.
