All menological icons have something in common: they all contain a certain amount of registers important for understanding the imagery. The menological icon for the month of November–the one you see in the picture–has four registers starting from the upper left corner. In the icon, you see the saints and events commemorated in the Orthodox calendar during November. Like many antique Orthodox icons, it was painted by an anonymous icon painter approximately at the end of the 18th century.
