What to do when you’re feeling anxious
take a hot shower. It works really well for me, and I always listen to a specially crafted playlist for those moments, with really chill songs. You can also take a bath, but it can be tricky because when it’s too long I tend to overthink and feel anxious again
Create a chill playlist -forget about listening to AC/DC or Rage against the machine. I personally got tired of lofi music so I downloaded a lot of 40’s and 50’s songs in this playlist (such as As time goes by, from the movie Casablanca), it works really well. Forget about really fast rhythms or heavy guitars.
Take a quick walk, with your headphones on to avoid overthinking, or if the weather is great and you live in the country side or near a park, listen to the birds singing ; even if you’re in a city, focus on five sounds around you, it really helps
Watch a funny tv show. I personally watches a random episode -or my favorite one- of Brooklyn 99, it relaxes me every time
Eat something you love, like Mac & cheese, or cook something if you can eat (sometimes anxiety makes me sick so I can’t eat at all, but it depends)
Masturbate. It releases endorphins in the brain, and helps get relaxed
Most important thing : even if you have exams coming, and you know that you should be doing some revisions, even if you are late in your work... don’t force yourself. Even if it’s something you have to hand to your teacher / boss the next morning, take a break. You deserve it. Never feel guilty because “you’re not productive enough”. You mental health comes first.
No, you just wake up every day knowing you want nothing more then to die. But you fucking do this shit anyways because you won't do that ultimate act of selfishness and hurt the ones who love you. Why the hell they love you? Who the hell knows. You know what a fucking piece of shit you are. And its killing you every day you gotta breath.
If you know anyone like this, for your own sake, walk away. I was stupid enough to let this person back into my life and they manipulated me again, leaving me to feel like I was the worst human being ever. Again. Just because I have #BPD doesn't make me a bad person, but someone who does this shit is. Only because this person refuses to seek professional help. They use whatever mental illness(es) they have for attention. My mental illnesses are not about you, what I was going through yesterday, was not about you yet you made it out to be that way. Mental disorders are quite common and a part of our everyday lives BUT still not talked about often enough...
It’s sad and a shame that people call others crazy because of an disorder or not taking them seriously at all - so this challenge needs you to inform yourself about certain disorders in order to participate! And since I don’t want to offend anyone I left out some disorders on purpose! Pls don’t make fun of this challenge, thanks :-) now let‘s start inking y’all!
