100 Days of Heart and Mind Day 5: What Do I Do?

This is the question I always have: what do I do if I know someone who exhibits signs of trouble? 

It is remarkable that in all of my research, EVERYTHING says to immediately seek professional health and/or hospitalization if you know someone who is suicidal. I think if we’re all being honest, we know this doesn’t always happen.

We have to become braver.

Here is a website with some practical ideas about how to support someone with mental illness.

I was happy to read, “There is no right or wrong way to support someone with a mental illness.” It seems that, especially after tragedies, people become concerned about doing the right thing, not doing the right thing, and offending people. Let’s get brave - please.

I have been sick over a week

With a shit immune something or other

and I have to drive myself out to go to the dr’s today and

I can hardly stand really. Just totally out of it honestly.

I just feel ridiculous and I just would rather sleep all day and take xanax.

Tried to get some food down, but had a Ensure light instead.

Just not doing so hot.
