Sometimes I just need to remind myself this!
Some days, I feel everything at once. Other days, I feel nothing at all. I don’t know what’s worse, drowning beneath the waves, or dying from the thirst.
an excerpt in an essay I wrote about struggling with bipolar disorder.
Recovery looks so different for everyone don’t compare your journey to someone else’s because we are all doing an amazing job 💕

Officially 24 years old! Wow what a year it has been, 23 has been a pretty crazy life changing year for me. It will be the age I look back on when I finally sort help for my mental health and stuck to it, it’s the age I lost some friends and realised who my real true friends are. Although 23 was one giant battle field for me I do no regret it one bit, this is the age that I changed my life around to save myself, it’s the age that I put myself first and finally found the strength inside me that I never knew I had and started to learn how to love myself. Thank you 23 for all the life lessons, bring on 24!
This is so important! Recovery isn’t glamorous or perfect and isn’t meant to be that’s what makes it such an amazing journey!
