Oof, the angst potential in this… Okay, since I’m suffering, let’s make them suffer.
Prompt/s: 5) a ring, a snow storm, a broken promise
Pairing: Logicality, and that one regrettable bit of Logince
Summary: Logan stared at the ring, the reminder of his broken promise, all because of getting snowed in with someone who he had thought was his best friend... ~ Human!AU

A/N: Okay, here’s some angst! Also, a non-canon scene from that one au that I made. It is not canon because this is not how the thing went. In the original, most of the events occurred in school, but I had to make this fit, so it’s like an au of the au. XD

Logan let out a sigh as he looked out the window.
He can’t believe it. School was cancelled due to the snow storm, and now, he’s trapped in his house, unable to see his boyfriend.
Well, at least he had one of his friends trapped inside the house with him. That being said, at least he had company.
“I can’t believe your parents thought that it was a good idea to leave you alone for the week.” Roman said, jumping onto Logan’s bed. “Why didn’t they just bring you along?”
“Because that would not have been necessary, and I have school.” Logan replied, turning to face Roman.
“Of course, ever the nerd.”
Logan playfully rolled his eyes as he walked over to his bed, sitting next to Roman.
“I miss Patton…” He sighed out, after a moment of silence, laying next to him.
Roman propped himself up with his elbows, turning to face Logan, hiding the sadness in his eyes and the pain he felt, humming in response.
“I apologize.” Logan stated, sitting back up. “I’m just, it’s just not a very good day. Patton and Virgil were supposed to come over today as well, and with the stupid weather, now they cannot.”
“It’s fine Logan.” Roman said, sitting up as well and placing a hand on the logical man’s shoulder. “You miss your boyfriend, that’s completely understandable.”
Logan let out another sigh, leaning into Roman’s shoulder. It was a comforting presence, at least he wasn’t entirely alone.
“Ro?” Logan asked, to which Roman responded with a hum. “Have you ever… This is gonna sound ridiculous, but have you ever been so infatuated with someone that it reaches the point that you think it’s love?”
Roman’s brows shot up, getting caught off guard as he gave Logan a look of surprise.
“I- uh… What?” Roman asked, the tone of his voice showing his surprise.
“I- I’m not very good at emotions as you all know, but I would like to know the difference between love and infatuation.” Logan rephrased, leaning away to look up at Roman.
Roman looked down at him, feeling his cheeks heat up as those deep calculating blue eyes stared intently at him. And he wanted nothing more than to kiss him, right then and there. But he knew he shouldn’t.
“Well, I know a thing or two about love.” Because I’m in love with you. “Far as I’m concerned, infatuation is merely admiring a person, whether it be a lot or not. Love is…”
Roman paused, looking away from Logan’s captivating eyes.
“Love is different.” He continued. “Love goes above and beyond that. Love is you wanting what’s best for the person, wanting them to be…” He glanced back at Logan and he felt his breath hitch at the look Logan was giving him. “Happy.”
He didn’t realize that he was leaning in, as he continued, “Fighting for their love because you’d do anything… Whatever it takes, a touch, a spark, a… kiss…”
And with that, Roman wasn’t able to hold himself back. He kissed Logan, who let out a surprised gasp at the sudeen contact, his eyes wide in shock before Roman quickly pulled away.
“Logan, I- I apologize. I shouldn’t have done that!” Roman quickly blurted out, as Logan stood up amd moved away from the bed as if the whole encounter had just burnt him.
“You damn right you shouldn’t have!” He snapped, his eyes showing pure unadulterated rage directed towards Roman. “I have a boyfriend, and you know it! Now get out of my room. I don’t want to see you right now.”
“Logan, I-“
“Now, Roman!”
And with that, Roman stood up, bowing his head in shame. And Logan was left with an empty bedroom, feeling hot liquid leaking from the corner of his eyes.
He sat on his desk, burying his face in his hands, feeling the tears continue to leak. He pulled his hands away slightly as he sniffled, seeing the ring on his hand, that ring that Patton had given him. His promise ring.
And there he’d realized that he had just broken a promise, his promise… To himself and to Patton. His promise of only being with just him, and never even attempting to do anything with anyone else. He’s going to have to inform Patton of the events that had just happened. Better to have it coming from him than someone else.

WELL!! THAT’S DONE!! Anyway! So there you go! Word of note, this is only non-canon because this was not what actually happened! And! Mark this! Because it means that I might actually start writing the actual canon version of this story! So! Hope you guys enjoyed this! It’s like a little peak or somthing… XD
