If the Qun over took Kirkwall do you think you could ever join them?
If by join them, you mean be forcibly brainwashed over and over until all traces of individuality have been scrubbed clean from my spirit, then yes! I could.
Having the respect of the Arishok would only protect me from the tenets of the Qun for so long. That couldn’t even protect Kirkwall, and it certainly wouldn’t save me.
I’m sure that level of structure and order keeps some people happy, but you’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a magnet for disorder and I can’t leave well enough alone. Not something the Qunari generally smile upon so much as sending the poor fools off for re-education, which is more commonly known as torture.
And since I never want to even think about what would happen to people like Varric or Merrill under the Qun, I wouldn’t even humor the idea. Not to mention the whole “Isabela” thing. Also the whole “me being a mage” thing, which is a problem quite a lot even these days.
