WHy is mage wear so awful in Kirkwall?

I love this game! Isabela and I spent a lot of nights at the Hanged Man guessing why dressing in your grandmother’s grandfather’s nightgown was part of mage fashion. 

The best we’ve got yet is that if you dress hideously enough, the Templars can’t bear to look at you. Can’t get turned in to the Circle if you’re an unsightly heap of robes and poor taste!

Well, I’d definitely fuck Orsino if I’d gotten the chance. Poor man needed it, putting up with Meredith as long as he did. Doesn’t hurt that he found my jokes amusing, I think.

And if we want to get technical about it, I did kill Quentin. Wouldn’t mind doing it twice, though. Going back and doing it couple days earlier would be just lovely!

I suppose that leaves marrying Danarius, helping him along to a little “accident” and promoting his slaves to employees. I’d fit right in as a mage, probably! Orana could probably help them adjust to the whole ‘free will’ bit, if she wasn’t opposed to going back to Tevinter. No one would hold it against her if she’d rather not return to the hub of slavery and abuse, to be fair.

[I’ve actually recently picked up more work for my original writing, so this will be the last ask for Hawke, unfortunately. This has been a ton of fun, though, and I appreciate all of you sending in asks and joining in on the purple Hawke antics!

(One day I want to rant about this game on a podcast or something)

All That Remains is still one of my favorite quest. There are so many little great details in it, like the First Enchanter’s letter signed with O. I like the fact I couldn’t save Hawke’s mother, because sometimes even heroes fail. I like that it stuck with me. I like that it was new, and I especially like what Aveline tells you afterwards. All of the damn feelings!

I tried to cram the entire family in, and now I am sad.

Fenris, Anders and Merrill? Seriously? Gosh these guys are great, but I don’t understand, why Isabela is not your #1 priority. She seems to be the only adult except for Varric around you, and she does love you deeply. I strongly recommend you to give her a better look. This woman can make you happy

Calling any of us adults is either optimistic or generous of you, really, but I do so love accepting flattery. Varric and Isabela are probably your best bets, though. Maybe it has to do with how often you win Wicked Grace? 

That would explain a lot about Gamlen.

Honestly, I think Isabela would feel a bit smothered as my #1 priority. Pirates and their freedom, you know how it is. Make no mistake, I love the hell out of our pretty pirate queen! With that wit, questionable decision making, and fashion sense, who doesn’t? Rhetorical question, mind you. I’ve fought off enough of her enemies over the years to know the answer.

Besides, she thinks my eyes are pretty. Romance at its finest!

Concern and a compliment? Well, aren’t you sweet! I’m fine, probably. I’ve certainly had much worse than what I’ve come across out there. And besides, I got to stay at Skyhold for some time. It’s famous in a good way and has a tavern! I even missed out on the whole “attack on Haven” bit, so that’s a rare spot of luck for me. Nothing to worry about here!

At least, not right now. If I see any talking darkspawn with an unchecked superiority complex, I’ll be sure to let you know it’s a good time to be worried. About everyone, really.

If you could trade places with one person who would it be?

Bianca seems like she’s got it made. The crossbow, I mean.

...Oh, you’re serious? I don’t suppose trading places with my father before he passed would change all that happened to my family after leaving Lothering. If anything, I’d probably end up kicking off another civil war by leaving him to stop that whole mess.

I might like having Sera’s job, whatever it is. It looks like it involves pranking Cullen rather a lot. I’ve had practice with that.

When it comes to the Blooming Rose who might you recomend?

Well, if it’s a charmer you’re after, Jethann is the perfect pick. Besides, he’s so handsome and an absolute sweetheart under all that allure. Really, who could resist either? If ladies are more to your liking, Cora’s good at what she does, although she’s not perfect. That’s half the appeal, if you ask me. And you did, so here we are! 

Of course, no one could go wrong choosing Serendipity.

If you’re feeling particularly guilty or being a bit uncomfortable makes you happy for whatever reason, ask Madam Lusine for the naughty special.

Holiday Hiatus?

Thoughts on the Chantry?

We’ve a bit of a complicated relationship, what with the Circle and all. Not to mention the incident in Kirkwall.

But it’s not like I believe everyone in the Chantry is sinisterly scheming to hurl me in the nearest tower and never let me out. For some people, the guidance of the Maker is something to hang onto. And aren’t we all looking for that special something to give a bit of sense to life and living?

Since the Chantry’s made up of people, it’s a mess, just like the rest of us! You’ve got your Petrices and your Grand Cleric Elthinas. One was drawn in by the power to make her nightmarish visions of superiority a reality, and the other just wanted a little peace for the people of Kirkwall.

So really, I think the Chantry helps some people get their lives together, or at least resemble it. But with that kind of influence, bad apples are sure to show up and ruin a good thing for everyone else.

Although it would be nice if the straggling members of the Chantry didn’t try to direct the smattering of power and influence they still have against the Inquisition. They’re pretty busy as it is.

I hear the hero of fereldan is your cousin ever meet them?

They’re more of a second cousin, really, but we are both from the Amell family, so there’s that. When the Warden was hauled off to the Circle in Ferelden, that pretty much dashed any hopes I had of meeting them, sadly. The only got out to become a Warden in the first place, and I was leaving the country at the time. Darkspawn and all that, you understand. 

Although, given everything the two of us have been involved in, maybe that was for the better. Can you imagine the two of us in one place with all the trouble we draw in? They’d run us out of town.

Or maybe just one of us? Hard to say.
