Reeeeally short aromantic toya ficlet I wrote a few weeks ago

Toya was never one for romance. He always found it strange or unnecessary. He never had any time for any form of relationship during his younger years in account for the fact he was always busy practicing. Though, now that Toya had the freedom to do what he wanted, he still didn’t really see the need for a romantic partner. He would hear his classmates talking about who they found cute, and Toya just…didn’t get it. How could you look at someone and think, ‘you’re so attractive, I want to kiss you.’

Well, he understands the ‘acknowledging of someone’s attractiveness’ part, but that’s besides the point. The point was: romance was weird. The problem was: tomorrow was Valentine’s Day.

Toya had stayed up late the night before, catching up on the newest instalment of a mystery series he’s been reading for the past year and a half. This unfortunately meant that his only source of energy would be coffee…of which he couldn’t bring to school. Toya sat up in his bed with his back against the wall as he tiredly rubbed the exhaustion out of his eyes. After all, Toya had plans to meet with the rest of Vivid BAD SQUAD after school today to exchange friendship chocolates, similar to how they did last year. Though this year, Toya had helped Kohane with acquiring An’s valentines chocolates. The memory made him smile. Toya shook his head; he couldn’t get distracted right now. He sighed and begrudgingly pulled himself out of bed to start getting ready for the day.
