#mentor shenanigans

I did 1000 runs of Mentor roulette \O/ yay, my goal for end of the year done, this is so awesome :D

Some stats and commentary below ~

Yeah ARR just will be forever the content in roulette stuff, it just has the most things going on. Definitely doesn't help that Guildhest exist. On God why do people run these lmao.

Alliance continues being 99% refills into mostly Crystal Tower. I just Never get Raids as a Healer ...

I got all ARR Extremes at least once, a few HW, once Susano and Emanation. Great Hunt EX reigns supreme with 6x as SGE and 7x as SMN.

There are still dungeons i havent gotten yet at all! Except ARR. Ive gotten all of those.

Sage specifically:

ARR dungeons are just Forever, rest of the expansions are kinda equal. Except ShB. I have to wonder why that is ngl. (Is it Trust. But then again EW has also this .... mystery.) 21 of the ShB things are dungeons, 6 of these are Qitana Ravel, i got Copied Factory once lol. Raids are A2, A10, O10, P1.

Summoner specifically:

Guildhests. The Guildhests are forever, i got Under the Armor 47 times. I get a lot more DT content, mostly dungeons. Esp lv100 dungeons. And I keep being refills into those and keep encountering (Mentor) DPS who leave these. Wtf. It is such a mystery. I got Underkeep 11x ...

I like roulettes and for me Mentor roulette is just a silly button of when I dont really know what to queue into for, though i honestly wish i could get a lil more variety. My 500th run as SGE was Doma Castle! And as SMN it was Under the Armor,

In those 1000 runs I got in total 827 commendations. Which i still need to filter by DPS and Healer but Healer def gets more comms.

Ive gotten immune to various ppl's playstyles lmao, non mitigatation single pull tank? Sprinting ahead of tank DPS? man idc at this point, you do lol, just let us get outta here somehow.

Though I do notice if ppl fumble their very basic buttons, a SAM who doesnt have two of their buffs or never applied a DoT, a DNC not Dance-partner-ing or using Improvisation right after Technical Finish, Ice Mages, WHM with Cure 1 only, long casting only RDM, BRD who dont use any songs, ... seen it all.

I'm in no way a supreme good player but I simply enjoy these a lot and am glad when i can make a difference in some runs I get into :D I started at night on the 26th April 2025. Surely I'll be able to get another 1000 done before the next Expansion drops >:D

His exasperated Minish co-parent/brother

His fretful Fairy co-parent/brother

His gremlin ghost co-parent/brother

and Their Idiotic Gremlin Children/Siblings/Mentees

What about Four, or Colors as Rinku calls him? What would he call him? Also, since the Minish speak a different language, Rinku can't understand him at all, right? How do they communicate?

(at the time) Colors would probably mostly refer to him (internally) as 'pain in my tail!'

From what I remember, the Minish/Picori language is Japanese but backwards-

So he may refer to him as 'Ihcamodot' which in reverse is 'todomachi' or 'friend'

And you're right, Rinku can't speak Minish and while I'm sure Colors/Four would be able to speak Hylian if he wanted to, he just doesn't, because that would be too easy.

And being a hero isn't about having things easy. (also this might be a slight payback for Rinku being a knucklehead with Wild when they're supposed to be doing something, like, I don't know, focusing on freeing the Divine Beasts.)

So most communication would be gestures and expressions

I hear the Hyrule mentor idea and I see it! But I want to point out that while Time doesn't show his Hylian form either, but he does show a hylian-esque form, being a giant freakin skeleton. Wind could have been a spirit made of... well, wind. It also fits Rinku's whole thing about being the Hero of Souls, right?

That's also true. I don't really know if Rinku sees souls along with feeling them, but I mean, he saw the Champion souls/spirits so maybe he'd see Wind too?

Also it'd be hilarious for when they met up and Rinku realizes at the current point in time he is older than his own mentor.

I don't know how old Hyrule is-

So I don't know if Rinku's older than him or not (minus the century of being out cold)

I like both ideas!

Wind being the 'devil' on the twins' shoulders and Hyrule/Wolfie being the 'angel'

Stupid Things

That Wolfie and whichever mentor Rinku had (minus Captain because he needs to STOP ENCOURAGING THESE GREMLINS, THEY’RE GONNA FUCKING DIE) had to stop

- Blowing up bomb barrels when they’re less than five feet away

- Running through enemy camps guns swords blazing (Note to mentors: make sure your mentee has no more flame weapons)

- Diving off Shatterback Point without proper Zora gear

- Purposely flirting with creeps to knock their lights out when no one else is looking so they’ll stop bothering women (okay, maybe Wolfie and Emerald/Colors looked the other way for that-)

- Shield surfing during the pouring rain (Colors is internally screaming at the damage on the shields /Oh don’t get me started how his mind breaks at their weapons shattering to dust for no damn reason/)

- Setting a bear on fire to ride it into an enemy camp

- Trying to land on a lynel’s back from a cliff

- Riding the Lord of the Mountain (Emerald nearly had an aneurysm)

- Swimming in any of the Fairy Fountains (Emerald nearly had another aneurysm)

- Freezing a Yiga member and shoving them off a cliff (okay, they probably looked away for that too)

- Taking selfies during fights (Wild got smacked with a paw and Rinku got his ear bit/pinched hard by their respective mentors after the fight was done)

Does Rinku have a mentor? Like Wild has Twilight, Hyrule has Legend (sorta), and Twilight has Time?
