Rating all the dsmp people that have parent/mentor vibes:
1/10 is borderline abusive, a terrible parent/mentor who doesn’t care for the children who trust them. 10/10 is the perfect parent/mentor who’s entire life revolves around giving their children the best life possible.
Also this is entirely about the characters of the smp storyline, I’m not in any way talking about the creators or their personal friendships.
Philza: Clearly has fatherly instincts whether he knows it or not. Keeps adopting people and pretending they’re just allies, where are the adoption paper Phil? I know you have them somewhere Phil!! But on the other hand he doesn’t look after them as much as he could have and isn’t emotionally available most of the time. 7.5/10
Puffy: Is as good of an influence on her kids as she can be. Thinks and talks about them a lot but doesn’t always take action towards them directly. Is capable of babysitting Tommy for more then two minutes😧. But did try to adopt dream, so probably minus points for that. Is willing to provide a stable family unit for her son, generally looks after him well when she can. 9/10
Awesamdude: Seems like a pretty good dude, I hear he recently did a scene where he protected the boys. Is nice to Tommy and seems protective of our traumatized kids. Responsible adult 8/10
Technoblade: An older brother/mentor figure to two sad kids at this point! Is fully able to protect anyone from almost anyone else. But he gets very scary sometimes and has put those same kids in danger multiple times now. 6.5/10
Dream: *sigh* he was a loose mentor figure to one little boy, he manipulated and emotionally abused him. Tommy’s trust in him is purely from a state of desperation as he was isolated and lied to repeatedly about his situation. -15/10
