Two drow women visit a pleasure house and enjoy the services of its most famous resident. (A drabble written for Top Gale Week, specifically Service Top day and Sub Top day.)

Narbondellyn Manor House

In the forboding drow city of Menzoberanzan, those who have the means and reputation may find themselves among the residents of Norbondellyn. These streets house the aspirational, rising socialites looking to make their mark, stake their claim, and remove anyone in the way of their ascent. To have come so far is an achievement worthy of notice, but not all drow in the city of spiders have done so through the favor of Lolth.

Some dark elves have found other means by which to rise through the tangled skein of Menzoberanzan high society. This particular household seems to favor the worship of Ghaunadaur, the god of slimes. A precarious choice. Should their blasphemy be discovered by the priestesses of Lolth, it will cost the household far more than mere wealth.

I'm reading the first book in War of the Spider Queen and nothing could've prepared me for how fucking Looney Tunes drow are. If they saw a Bugs Bunny cartoon they'd revere him as a god.

Like ok so there's this powerful drow cleric who hates her wizard brother because he isn't into incest (that part is what I expected of Menzoberranyr society). So to kill him, she casts hold person on him and gets like eight dudes to beat him to death with baseball bats. But he's a fucking WIZARD so he just teleports away from the baseball bats after merely one bonk. The sister is like "damnit yeah I should've armed my dudes with knives. That's on me."

She disappears a magic staircase out from under him and he doesn't even wizard his way out of that shit he just ballerina leaps to safety. Later on he derails a stealthy intelligence gathering mission to teach a goblin how to make really good hot dogs.

Also, THE Archmage Gromph Baenre has, essentially, an extradimensional slide that he slides down to get to his secret clubhouse. Sometimes there are monsters going down the slide with him and he's like ughhhh I hate having to kill monsters on the Silly Slide. MY MAN YOU CHOSE TO DO THIS. NONE OF THIS IS NECESSARY.

But the part that had me actually laughing out loud was when the wizard and his warrior boyfriend were in A Situation. To get out of the situation they chose to reenact the ending of The Three Amigos, and cast Seeming to make a bunch of random peasants look exactly like them and then everyone scattered into the streets. Comedic perfection.
