11. Talk about your favorite first kiss.
I’m not going to do movies because movie first kisses are usually the only kisses we get to see, but I LOVE movie kisses, some of them are perfect. (Penelope and Some Kind of Wonderful. OK.) Proper fave first kisses: Mindy/Danny (the walk-up and the pausing and the checking and the REAL kissing) and Ryan/Taylor (PRETEND DATING kissing, complete with that tiny nose-touch after, god) have the ones I remember best. I also remember the JD/Elliot kiss in Scrubs very, very well, right down to (especially because of) the music cue, Nil Lara’s Fighting For My Love. Runner-up mention to Leslie/Ben, even though I wish we saw more of it, which is my complaint re: most of their kisses - they keep masking the actual kissing bit.
I used to rewatch first kisses a lot earlier in my fandom years~, but these days I tend to reread first kisses. I have a lot of affection for the Fire/Brigan kiss in Fire by Kristin Cashore, even though we get like one sentence about it, just because by the time it happened both of them knew the other wanted it too. That kind of firmness.

Dani and Charlie from Life probably never kissed, never did anything beyond that, but never really did any of that with anyone else, either. I like thinking of them as two people who never really need anyone else, like once they’d become partners for good they realised there was nothing else they were missing.
