I wanted to do a cleansing of our new apartment ( also why I am currently netless and mooching off hotspots while at work), and came up with a pretty simple thing to do while walking the apartment with some sage:
“With this smoke, Now be cleansed. We want to welcome Only friends.
Clear the past, And what once was– This flat should now Open to us.
Embrace our love, Protect our hearts. Let it spread Through all parts!”
I went through the flat (clockwise) using the verse for every room as I burned some sage, then went back with a focused intent of thinking of Sean and myself and all the joy and love we share, and burned some rose incense in each room afterwards to charge the place with an Us sort of vibe.
It’s pretty simple, I know.
Roses and rose incense felt right for a lot of this. I urge you to try and intuitively feel what you personally are compelled to add to what makes it your space. We’re newlyish weds, so we’re still in floofy mode, but yeah. Make it your’s, and I hope it helps make a place feel like home!
