Woke up from staying home sick, brain blasted with the idea of qpr mephiblis..... Its so obvious I cant believe I didn't think of it sooner........

Thinking about one-sided mephiblis cause I love it conceptually. Like.ok so they get split in half and separated and sealed away for ten years, Iblis "gets" to be sealed in elise, who is around people all the time, he's never alone. Mephiles gets sealed in the scepter of darkness and then we don't know. We do know that at some point G.U.N had it, and then eggman presumably stole it from them, but like....? Was he held under guarded supervision or did he get put into storage like shadow? Was he conscious? Was he aware? Was he alone in isolation for ten years, fully conscious? And then when he's finally free, the only thing he wants is his other half and maybe some revenge.

Like. Idk. Obsessive fixation born from a decade of isolation after probably one of the most traumatic moments of their existence, misread as love because what else would it be.
