sketch of meraci-kavi oc from headworld, Vero Sadia she is augmented with Avrosyne technology and works under them to help maintain control over the falais enclaves; mainly her duties involve hunting down low-threat rogue dissidents, an activity she greatly enjoys. it reminds her of chasing prey through a tangle of light-brambles except the prey is sapient and bipedal and sometimes ineffectively shooting back. Vero Sadia is popular on various murder-based holonet forums/fandoms and often competes with the hi-scores (murder counts) of other enforcers; unlike many of her peers, she takes her duties very seriously and doesn't participate in community-driven challenges or livestreaming her kills. her stoic, mysterious personality -- her only expression usually that of sadistic amusement -- is typical of an Avrosyne (or Avrosyne-adjacent), and is considered attractive by her fans.

Chromafluid is the lifeblood of all Meraci-Quva society, one major use of it being various food-forms. Here SkyFlitSerenade is mixing some chromafluidic bubbles of varied complex flavors, trying to discern a recipe of some sort.

The chromafluid 'recipes' are far more complex than ordinary cooking and involve the imbuing of varied sensations more than just taste/smell; this includes the qualia of auditory sensation, radio transmission, vibratory sense/information transfer, and other things usually incomprehensible to non-Meraci-Quva.

Sharing of chromafluid is a significant and sacred task done only after careful deliberate preparation & distribution; it can be distributed on varied large or small scales. SFS here is making it for the inhabitants of Qonoro-77 and including flavors of love and radio-encoded images of many recent memories.

another followup to ramble-post about sketches. a small selection from the expanse of unfinished Apaika scenes. until like last month she just existed in this liminal quantum space. Also these are mostly from outdated design/story iterations but idk they might look neat anyway.

looking back on these is weird; like a snapshot into brief parts of my life months ago where i just existed in that other world hyperfixating on it for days at a time utterly immersed into the characters & emotions listening to the same songs repeated 50 times... but afterwards totally forgot that even happened. and now i'm like, "oh yeah that happened." (??? my life is just a mood whiplash between realities & right now is minecraft)

it would take me like 2 hrs to find the descriptions in my spaghetti note morass so here is a ramble summary. in order (not chronologically at all):

Apaika seeing through 4D while lucid-dreaming into the datarealm; represented as 3D scenes (of numerous locations) being 'slices' going into the distance, the edges between them blurred with innumerable points of light representing everything in-between the locations in 3D but compressed into a tiny space; similar to the Interstellar scene. (..i have to remind myself to not get caught on impossibly complex scenes everyday)

more Apaika in the datarealm, browsing through a metaphysical library of some sort. Other scene of her previous story iteration where she gets put in the asylum for being too bitey & is rescued by an Andetharian (magical animal)

Blazewing - real name Lushaida - a young Meraci-Kavi in upper Tiranaida. At an early age she was adopted and raised by Pyrewalker Rahaal, an elite falais elder-priest of the Pyre cult, with the intention of training her into the first Meraci lightweaver. This wasn't a very pleasant process for her and she probably doesn't want to talk about it.

But she sure is a special animal with exceptional agility, a quick wit, and an impressive knowledge of falais history & culture. Her auralite manifold augments - horns and wings - grant her a medium level of lightweaving; she is exceptionally powerful, often more than other lightweavers her age.

Lightweaving itself is a very rare practice usually reserved for falais elites & cult-members who have access to the ancient technology and sources of auralite, so Blazewing became known as a national oddity and celebrity after her success in the matter.

Outwardly Blazewing is known as a confident and powerful superhero-like figure, regularly shown off in Aohaiden (agility courses) and other rituals of the Pyre, much to the satisfaction of her master.

She's fanatically devoted to her religion and acting like a falais in order to fit in, not partaking in any depraved animal activities like prey-hunting. She still gets bullied at magic school and is hated by every cultural group in existence but she trains and studies very hard so it's okay, she is fine don't worry.

(someone please bite at me until i actually finish at least 1 of the meraci story chapters (actually just bite at me in general) )

the first one i will always remember. because i was in anatomy class wanting to pencil study animals and did a fennec fox drawing with a muscle diagram on the side. and accidentally made the most absurdly buff fox i ever did see. she was so innocent... also she has gone through 3 names

i really love the genre of ferals / aliens / monsters with clothes or doing mundane stuff (if you couldn't guess by the amount of SkyFlitSerenade scenes) (this post made thru 4D from a point after i posted those)

totally random thought that i would love to collab writing with someone but i think the combined level of manic insanity would just send Xilsamee's brain into supernova splatting against all the edges of the multiverse. i mean that could be funny but yeah
