Genuine question.

I’ve been wanting to buy some Michael merch for a long time, but there’s something I’ve always wondered about.

When we buy official Michael Jackson merchandise, who are we actually supporting? Is the money ultimately benefiting his children, the charities he supported and helping preserve the legacy he left behind, or is it primarily benefiting the estate and the people who manage it (John Branca)?

I know there have been legal disagreements between the estate and Michael’s children over the years, and Paris recently won one of those disputes (YOU GO PARIS!!). Does that change anything in terms of where the money goes, or how much influence the children have?

Basically, I’d love to support Michael’s legacy, but I’d feel a lot better about buying merch if I knew I wasn’t mainly enriching people who may not have had the best relationship with him, especially towards the end. Does anyone know how that works?
