It's honestly kind of insulting to everything out there with an actual lgbt focus that this anon would even try to pretend a comic that's as thin on obvious lgbt content as homestuck is 'one of the most influential'. Never mind that it is, as you noted in the tags, a very niche thing.
I’m kind of curious as to what one would say would be the most influential LGBT media of the last decade. It’s probably hotly debated since it’s subjective, especially since sometimes you need a bit more distance to see what ended up having lasting influence. That being said, I don’t want to dismiss the representation Homestuck does have because the more the merrier, and lots of LGBT+ fans flocked to it because we’re starving, and we don’t want to take it away. That’s not what we’re trying to do here. (And Dave’s story in particular wrt internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity is important, and we’re going to get to it. Comic’s not over, guys.) And so I understood why the first couple asks might be strongly worded, because you can get defensive or upset when it looks like someone’s trying to take something you have so little of away, but at this point... I feel like the anon is irritated at us for other reasons.

'anti-white propaganda', seriously?? Where'd they come up with THAT?
No see there aren’t a lot of white people in the plot at the moment (in fact I don’t think there are any white men in the plot so far at all, excluding space aliens voiced by white men), so that’s bad.
mercurialmalcontent replied to your post: I think the most frustrating thing about the antis...
I’m tempted to start calling them ‘future Trump voters’ because this shit is ridiculous.
God this. It’s that exact feeling when your at a family shindig and That One Uncle starts talking about chromosomes...
