I know you're probably tired of hearing me yap, but today I found a deer antler while hiking and it gave me an idea: Drift as a protector deity of warriors and the faithful, with a pair of deer antlers on his head among his long white hair, who falls in love with Ratchet, a simple healer from his peaceful tribe who has never needed to turn to the gods. I was thinking of a Humanformers AU with a Celtic-like setting (Ratchet with long red hair, with a few strands tied in small braids my beloved) and I already have some scenes in mind: for example, Drift complaining to Wing (a sort of deity who stands at the head of their pantheon) about how much he likes that human who doesn’t even seem to want to talk to him. Angst, themes of mortality and immortality, a war that drags Ratchet into it against his will, and Drift doing everything he can to win over his grumpy healer. I really need to write this now aaaaaaaahhh
